Indian mind set at the time of independence was primarily conservative and the economy was completely relying on agrarian, apart of that there were internal turmoil which were not known to the world and there were cultural differences with western countries. With somany negatives and less similarities India could not embrace the west wholeheartedly, India took the best decision keeping the citizens in mind at that point in time. Jai Hind. Amen.

@@jagdishrao5330Exactly why he should carry himself with decorum & skills as an orator/interviewer. He isn’t doing a good job, swallow that fact. His tone is flat, his questions aren’t well articulated, his follow up + response lacks vigor, his voice variation is shit, his body language is off, his demeanour is not welcoming especially in a context of “Interview” or “Discussion” or a “Dialogue”. Dr Jaishankar clearly did better & was spot on as a Diplomat.
