Hello mate. I bought a baby Common Boa from you a couple of weeks back. She is doing well and is finally comfortable enough to come out of her hide now. Thanks for the info. And thanks for these videos. Its always a nice breath of fresh air to hear someone in your industry talking straight and giving facts and anecdotal evidence in a no bullshit and straight shooter kind of way. Cheers Chaz.

oni screams I do the same because I know the info will be second to none!! Love your work chaz great for people of all types wether you’re starting out or your intermediate or a pro breeder!!! so much to be learned from can’t praise you anuff for what you do for the hobby, I hope you really take this as a compliment and not me dick riding a KZbinr lol 😂, you just have so much to give and Bearing in mind people would pay serious ££ for what you give for free’!! So much respect for what you do!!, and I couldn’t agree more about the emeralds and GTP’s not being Handled they are a beautiful display animal’s if it climbs on you then fine but some not all but some pull there animals of there perch and it infuriates Me there bones are so easily broken especially when young, that’s how you get kinks in the tail or if there put on a thick branch as a neonate and not a thin perch you can tell from the tail what they were kept on I’m ranting now lol 😆 just love what you do man for real I haven’t seen a vid that I don’t agree with or learn something new keep up the no bullshit no bells and whistles approach and your channel will grow 🐍😎🙌🙌🙌🤙

Thanks for another great video. Funnily enough, I kept one of these very successfully when I was only sixteen years old. I never increased the viv humidity, the snake fed readily, and was a real beauty - an amazon basin one. I gave up keeping snakes a while afterwards, and donated the snake to London Zoo's reptile house. But you are right to stress that this species is hugely sensitive and delicate.

I was definitely gonna go for one of these or a GTP, I own both a corn and boa and feel I’m experienced enough to get one but instead deciding to get a ATB just for the fact they’re more on the “intermediate side” of snakes.

I WAS BITTEN BY ONE OF MY ADULT EMERALDS BACK IN THE 90’S, THE MOST PAINFUL SNAKE BITE I HAVE EVER HAD OUT OF THE HUNDREDS OF SNAKES THAT BIT ME(WHEN I WAS A CHILD I WOULD CATCH ANYTHING). MY WRIST HURT DEEP IN THE MUSCLE AND TOOK SEVERAL WEEKS TO GET BACK TO NORMAL. OF COURSE IT WAS MY FAULT I WAS BITTEN.

Clint's reptiles said opposite to this🙁 now I am confused😩🙁
@Fr0stySn00ze3 жыл бұрын
Clint's Reptiles was incorrect, irresponsible, and disingenuous. Most American reptile channels tend to be way behind and more concerned with constantly acquiring animals rather than actually caring for them properly. The idea that they're an easy, hardy, and beginner-friendly pet snake is laughable. Keep in mind that Clint has never owned one, nor has he worked with one and thus has no actual experience with a specimen that's troubled with say, a respiratory infection. More than likely he's just regurgitating (pun-intended) someone else's (incorrect) care information. There's a reason why these specimens haven't been captive for a very long time despite them being discovered in the 1700's. If they were as hardy and easy as Clint claimed, they would be bred everywhere and as probably as cheap as a crested gecko. I know a breeder from PA who lost an Emerald after only three days after it showed signs of an RI. Beginner keepers constantly have problems getting the heating/humidity right for their Royal/Ball Python, Corn-snake, King-snake, etc. Plus they usually constantly want to handle it and worry about bites. Why would anybody in their right mind think that that an Emerald would be a good idea for a new snake keeper???

Maybe you should do one. Id happily watch. Xx
@ΣταυροςΚαμπ3 жыл бұрын
@@SnakesNAdders yeah nice answer thanks.I just think making people believe wildcaught is the way to go is not very reaponsible and sustainable.Don't have this attitude i ve made numerous positive comments.
@SnakesNAdders3 жыл бұрын
I havent got an attitude. Batesii are bred around the world. Caninus are a pain in the bollocks and regularly fail. They slug out still born and people far more experienced than me have total nightmares with them. I am sure in time this will change but Northern Emeralds are not bred widely in captivity. Amazon basins are whivh are a different species.
