Let's hope this generation starts thinking about the future and about the past, not only about the present, and finds a purpose.

Let's hope so. Lately I see that green snake more clearly crawling upon every cranium in our ''western world''. The dollar sign shines high and the demonic dragon devours all in her way. Money, money, money. Andrew Tate or some new ''messiah'' tells our generation stories they believe. Gen Z may be against the state and big-corps but they are essentially lost. That conviction of samurai and esquires - that money and fame is second to defeat the thing to despise the most.. Is dead. We can not hope, or expect shit from this generation. Those people will not be on our side. We can only make our small contributions, in videos, in public discussions. And prepare. If the day comes, or not. To act...

I'm not Japanese, yet Mishima's message strongly resonates with me, because my country's national spirit has to be revived as well.

じゃあお前の命を持って革命起こさなきゃね。外野から言ってるだけなら簡単なんだよ

''Harakiri sometimes makes you win'' is the truth nobody cares to deliver anymore: right wing, left wing, conservative, monarchist, far-right, nationalist etc. Nobody utters these kinds of words. Every ideology, no matter which way seems to be stuck in its objective being ''geselligkeit''. Death for a higher cause is frowned upon even by those who proclaim to have a higher cause. “When pressed with the choice between life or death, it is not necessary to gain one's aim. The way of the samurai is found in death.”

I still don't get his ideas like what good will it do to a country or to the people
@forgetfulstranger8 ай бұрын
I get his philosophy and it's almost alluring, poetic. But he's still a nationalist and an imperialist.

Nothing wrong with wanting your nation to prosper, i get the dislike of imperialism tho.
@dennettshane19298 ай бұрын
@@horny7855People sign on to nationalism because they want prosperity but it only results in the supremacy of industry and military. The prosperity of a nation under those conditions can only achieve prosperity but subjugating other nations. This is untenable because the system requires enemies to justify its own existence. In the absence of enemies it will fabricate them. Imperialism is the only tool that nationalism has to create prosperity.

nothing wrong with that lmao

@@Arnold_Thelegend hmmm a lot wrong with that actually, go look at the zionist colonial project in Palestine. Yeah thats a by-product of "harmless" nationalism
