Já estive em e apreciamos cidades ocupadas antes do que eu gosto Hong Kong um pouco, ama Londres, Madrid e adorado, mas isso simplesmente não era legal. (Para o contexto, eu estava lá cerca de um mês, e visitou São Paulo, Curitiba, Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, e Natal.) A arquitetura em São Paulo foi muito feio na maioria dos lugares, e parecia haver pouco ou nenhum greenspaces ou vistas agradáveis. Combine isso com o terrível trânsito. Quanto à comida: paulistanos afirmam que eles fazer a melhor pizza do mundo, mas que foi bastante medíocre. Eu tive muito melhor na maioria dos pontos em forno a lenha de pizza nos Estados Unidos ou na Europa. Eu prefiro ter feijoada ou bobó de camarão no Brasil. O destaque de São Paulo para mim foi o povo. Paulistanos foram muito simpática, acolhedora e aberta. As pessoas parecem saber que ele não é tão cênica ou divertido como Rio de Janeiro para que eles tentam o seu melhor para lhe mostrar e ser acolhedor. Infelizmente, não é uma cidade segura embora. A maioria das pessoas que eu conheci tinha uma história sobre ser assaltado, ou pior.

Such an impressive city. Every time I see a picture of Sao Paulo, tokyo, or shanghai I'm just dumb-founded. Like how did they get so absolutely massive? Also, sadly, in the U.S. we don't learn much about Brazil other than brief history and about Rio as a travel destination so I didn't even know Sao Paulo existed until the internet led me to it due to my love of city-scape wallpapers.

In São Paulo people are very dedicated to the work ,in Rio de Janeiro and Bahia people think much at the time of leisure. Rio Grande do Sul is also very different. It's good to research which city you like best.

Ever since I was a child São Paulo has been my favorite city (with the caveat that for the past several years São Paulo shares the "No.1 Position in my heart" with New York City, where I have lived for most of my life). It is difficult to explain to many people the reason for my complete devotion to São Paulo, for I can scarcely find the proper words to describe its dynamic, energetic, multicultural, and fun-loving nature, which exists amid a complex & chaotic mix of massive concrete, heavy traffic & a never-ending rush... While I am a native of Rio de Janeiro, whenever I am in Brazil, I can hardly wait for the moment when I will take the Shuttle-Service to my beloved "PAULICEIA" (as it is fondly called by the native Paulistanos). What else may I write, other than "I love the great city of São Paulo with all my heart"?

Sim, São Paulo é maravilhosa. Voltando para casa, após fazer o ENEM ( Exame nacional do Ensino Médio), no domingo, pude passar por 3 ou 4 atividades artísticas, apenas no caminho limitado que fiz. Aos portões do Pq. Ibirapuera, havia um grupo de samba fazendo o seu show. Mas o maior show foi ver a Paulista sobre a eterna garoa que fez e ainda faz dessa, uma das mais belas cidades do mundo.

C'mon. I've been to all these "Alpha" cities they talk about. Sao Paulo is on a completely different scale. It is monstrously HUGE. I mean it is scary in size. It makes Manhattan look like a sleepy little village - honestly this is no joke. It makes L.A. look like small and docile. Sao Paulo is an absolute monster of a city; it's hard to imagine until you've been there. Don't go there as a tourist unless you speak Portuguese (or spanish) and/or you know a local. Amazing food, bars, people

In terms of buildings and the quality, aging and appeal of the highrise architecture I think the spanish cities are better than all else. I think this city is more fascinating then New York currently and could be more interesting then Tokyo and Hong Kong depending on what your looking for.

São Paulo is a great city indeed. It still in the making though. I think that 50 yrs from now it will be much more of a global powerhouse. The city is great in many aspects, but it needs some sprucing up. I love it though! Definitely one of my favourites amongst the mega cities.

Normalmente eles só passam pro mundo os pontos turísticos bonitos, desenvolvidos e de primeiro mundo e dá a impressão de que essas cidades não tem bairros ferrados, crimes, pobreza e etc, e nós como costumamos desprezar o que é nosso só mostramos mais as partes feias e pobres das nossas cidades.

The comments always go to extremes. São Paulo is not the worst city in the world, nor the best. It´s one of the largest cities in the world, with many typical problems of developing countries, yes its true, but one of the most interesting features of this city is its human diversity. Few cities in the world had such a diverse human migration. Portuguese, spanish, japanese, italians, germans, russians, greeks, syrians, lebanese, korean, chinese, angolans, nigerians, peruvians, bolivians, armenian, hungarian, south american indians, are part of the city population, and unlike other cities rich in immigration, in São Paulo all human groups are mixed, forming a very rich and heterogeneous society. Being the richest city of Brazil and of the entire South American continent, the city has attracted millions of poor people, who arrived in the city in search of better opportunities in life and it has caused a cluttered, typical growth of large and industrial cities in developing countries. High crime in the slum suburbs, pollution and bad traffic are part of everyday life in São Paulo, but there are also a lot of human expression, art, museums, nightclubs, restaurants and interesting places to visit. So it seems a bit naive to generalize such a large and complex city.

sao paulo has been considered as the land of drizzle, being on a plateau on the border between the coastal climate and the weather coming from the south, causing a light rain during the rainy months almost daily. But now the city is going through a time of drought. In fact, during the fall and winter, the city always goes through a period of low rainfall and low humidity. So, the humidity in Sao Paulo is something in the middle like other cities and does not compare with the humidity of the Amazon region, for example.

Great industrial Center amongst the top10 of the world. Often forgotten in the last two decades tremendous development took place in 20 to 30 years there could be a mega city of 40 to 50 inhabitants. A lot don't have this city on their radar. Unfortunately.
