Honestly I think the coolest thing here is the ramifications of Jake's Hope power combined with Dirk's Heart. Jake literally created an imaginary clone of Dirk. Just think how that could be used. If Jake truly believed in his teammates, or if he chose to think about something hard enough, along with Dirk, they could double the team. They could create as many people as they needed. No need for a ghost army, just create some imaginary clones for a while. Seriously cool.

This animation is absolutely gorgeous and I have immense respect for all the work put into it. I do take minor issue with some of the story choices, like bringing back Grimbark Jade and other things happening right as they were about to leave, basically "undoing" a lot of the victories and progress rather than creating new conflicts. Immediately disintegrating Dad seemed particularly over the top and unnecessary as well. That said, it's still overall wonderful, and everything about the English battle side is fantastic. Hussie climbing on the horse is a brilliant spot of humor with perfect Homestuck sense and timing. All in all, great job.

Negatives - The MSPA Sprite sections felt too slow and stiff, while the hand-drawn sections felt to static and fast, I’d say watch collide a few more times before continuing this (if it will be continued). Positives - I do appreciate a new take on the ending of homestuck, and do like the direction this took. I would especially like it if a plot point was set up where act omega is a doomed timeline, and the characters having to deal with that. I also really liked the guitar hero part.

Can I just take a moment to congratulate the Homestuck Act Omega team for this downright fantastic flash animation, and the entire story thus far. As someone who thought the official comic had been on a steep decline since the end of Act 6 Act 3 and completely fell apart following the Gigapause, this story feels more "Homestuck" than the real ending did. I've spent a lot of time thinking about what caused the comic's decline, and the production of Hiveswap is definitely part of what caused it. Regardless of whether or not you believe the rumours of the stolen funds, the game's extremely troubled production is more than clear at this point. The structure of What Pumpkin kept changing along with the art style, social media communication has been close to non-existent, and Hussie isn't even the main writer. The production trouble would've taken up far more of his time and attention than he expected, which I suspect caused him to finally burn out. The last several years of Homestuck feature steadily declining art quality, culminating in the last few updates which Hussie didn't even have the time or energy to draw himself. This, combined with the enormous pauses between updates. I think he wanted to be done with it years ago, but Act 6 just kept dragging on and on. This apathy doesn't explain the various failings of the actual plot, though. Compared to the first five acts, which did almost everything right, Act 6 seemed to do everything wrong. If this was his original intention for the climax and ending, I have no idea what he was thinking. If not, I'm curious as to what happened to cause the disastrous ending that was actually written.

now that i think about it, i had always found it a bit fishy (pardon the pun) that the condescension had died just that goddamn easily. homestuck is a comic with a lot of repeating themes and getting literally stabbed in the chest is one of them, and one of the most prominent examples is terezi. she got stabbed straight up in [s] game over, and yet, we see her lasting a while longer before she finally drops dead. why did _terezi_ last that long while the condescension, ruler and tyrannical leader of the alternian empire, lived for millions of sweeps, and is literally the highest on the hemospectrum scale and therefore incredibly strong - how the _fuck_ did she die with a single stab? terezi is four castes below her and had already used up energy on her fight with gamzee, while the condesce,,, was literally just fighting four kids? three *gods,* sure, but we can clearly see that she was gaining the upper hand near the end there, before roxy stabbed her. honestly act omega is a little refreshing because, well, it makes sense. the condesce could have easily survived the stab to the back, and the route that act omega takes with it is definitely not far-reaching.
