For those who think OP went too far need to shut up. He didn't. You can't compare what he did to the fact that his stepsister had an affair with his fiancée and to make matters worse, marry her on HIS wedding day. Honestly, if I was in OP's position at that time, I would've cut everyone out of my life as that was a huge betrayal. Personally, I wouldn't have met up with Jade for any reason other than to confront her for her betrayal. As far as we're aware, she never apologized for cheating on him. Not that it would've mattered. Glad he's involved with Madi. Living well is the best revenge.

Smoking cannabis is very benign. I would not have ratted someone out to their employer for that…. Unless they had hurt me the way OP’s stepsister did. She earned any revenge OP might have done. His parents were betrayers. They facilitated the stepsister in her torment of OP. Safi was given a chance to turn her life around (a chance she didn’t deserve). And she embezzled. Nobody pushed her into that.

OP did not go to far. The company has these random drug tests for a reason! Flight Attendants are responsible for a plane load of people's safety and it's paramount they not be intoxicated or high that could interfere in the case of an emergency. The fact that he found out that someone was faking tests for his sister should have been reported as soon as he found out! He may have saved many lives because if her contact was doing it for her he was probably dong it for many others at the same time! I worked emergency dispatch and I would be tested and that's because you always have to be aware of what is going on around you or around your people on the ground.

I agree! I spent 20 years working for a major airline, and safety is number 1 priority, and there's a damn good reason why there is zero tolerance for substance abuse for anyone working on, in, or around the aircraft, or anyone working in the tower controlling their movement, or weights and balance of the aircraft.

The thing that shocks me the most is that he still talks to his "family" at all. The outrageous amounts of abject and outright betrayal by all involved exp the stepmother is astounding. Whoever that person that said getting her fired as too far is a complete idiot. That was the absolute LEAST and most restrained revenge that he got. For a betrayal that big i am shocked violence wasn't involved. I personally would never have forgiven them nor would i ever forgive the mom or dad as they KNEW and let them hurt him like that.

As far as OP's sister goes. Rules are made for a reason and if she hadn't been breaking the rules of her employer nothing OP said to her boss would have cost her her job 🙄. I love how there's blame shifting among the comments. Bet they are inept at following rules and regulations given to them. If you don't break rules/regulations then you don't get in trouble, it's simple. Aside from that I feel terrible for OP I don't think I would have maintained contact with my family that turned a blind eye to what your fiancee and sister were up to. That's just terrible they'd condone such nasty behavior.

Exactly. She did the drugs. She cheated the tests. She corrupted the lab worker with bribes. Someone that alerted her employer is NTA. Department of Transportation has a zero tolerance for intoxicating substances for many job categories, including airline flight crews. It saves lives. Only people that refuse to be held accountable, and/or people that are reflexively obsessed with justifying drug use, are the ones trying to make the OP the bad guy. They would surely want their flights to be crewed by employees that are clean and sober. Hypocrites.

Safi deserved to get caught and anyone who says otherwise is either an enabling piece of crap of a drug user themselves. Just because she uses drugs doesn't mean she shouldn't suffer any consequences. If she was smart she should have known better than to use drugs especially when working as a stewardess. As for Jade she deserved what happened to her as well. She threw away a diamond for an ugly sharp rock that hurt her and when she finally realized this she tried to get back with him but it was too late, heno longer had any feelings for her and found someone far more deserving of his love.

S1: OP, you are NTA, but you most certainly are most definitely an active doormat. Some people forget the that Murphy always has a say in house your plans work out. Every once in a while Karma will team up with Murphy. Honestly I would have told my father that he would be held responsible for anything that the stepsister caused at the wedding or reception. All of the wedding expenses that OP paid for, would be taken out of the father, step mother, step sister and ex. Then go full NC with all of them. A fine example of revenge being arrived up hot. If it would have being me I would never gone back to my parents house and stepsister. So what ever madness happens in your life because you let not only you parents but your stepsister back into your life. Honestly I just do not understand why you did not learn your lesson when your father talked you into letting your stepsister get a toe hold into your life. OP didn’t spike his sister’s drink so she would fail a drug test. He didn’t pay off the person administering the drug tests on her behalf either. Safi did that all in her own. OP calling her out on that is not crossing the line, it’s righting what could be a dangerous situation at 30,000 ft while she’s working. It was her choices that got her there, not his. Bravo, OP. (I wouldn’t have stopped there)

I don’t blame OP for his revenge. She probably would have self-destructed on her own in time anyhow.

I'm so happy OP's life is looking up! I can't believe that his family did all of that too him because he did not deserve any of it! All because his sister and him didn't get along😮 Safi is a real piece of work and is so flipping selfish it's disgusting and no, I don't think op did anything wrong by reporting her!

I cant understand why he even came back home after what happened, got embarrassed by sister again and harassed by his cheating ex after he entertained her and she was trying to get him back now that she is old and divorced and him successful . People like this that expect anything good from their crap family are bound to get played again. They all proved their worth to him 2 years before

Honestly, the OP was to forgiving. If it was me I would have gone nuclear on the family. I mean come on dad took him for a walk to get rid of him so the sister and ex used it. The betrayal was really screwed up.

His parents were in on it and expected him to let it go. That Dad kept him distracted with the walk whilst the sister got married with the Mums approval, how is he not angry with them?! The Dad gave that money to clean away the dirt from himself. Nasty! The sister would have eventually got to that point even if he didn't expose her to the company, he just made it happen quicker. The ex sounded like a fruit loop herself so the sister did him a favour in the end.
