What a lovely collection of ST Dupont lighters, some of the very best that I have ever seen. You should be very proud of them, I bet they cost you a small fortune to put together. I have just started collecting vintage lighters myself, its a very time consuming hobby, searching the whole wide world for absolutely the best lighter on offer, buying parts...having repairs done, gold plating etc etc. Im sure that your videos have inspired many a new collector to start up a new hobby. Many thanks I enjoyed watching very much....keep up the good work !

I am going to buy a gold Zippo lighter to add to my collection. I fill my Zippo lighters with Everclear 190 Proof alcohol to light my good quality cigars. This produces a pure flame that burns cleaner than butane🔥

Hello :) no, normally only the "Le Grand S.T. Dupont" collection do have both soft and jet flame built in.

The spectre , missing more surface on the bottom now , because of the third screw , misses therefore writing and punching possibilities , that could otherwise be used for authenticity verification . And zippo's are only bad due to their zippo fuel . If that fuel would be made synthetically , instead of raffinings of petroleum , it would be odorless and tasteless .

sure would there be a possibility to make the fuel of the zippo tasteless, it would be also a good cigar lighter. when you buy the limited editions you get a lot of paperwork and the box aswell to prove the authenticity. It very important to buy those lighters at a official store.

hey man nice video after 9 years, I was trying to get my hands on some St Dupont Lighters in the local market here in Australia but find each of them fake. can u please make a video comparing original and duplicate. u can buy duplicates for less than $50. most common fake serial number 4FK12JB

Thank you ! I would like to compare fake and real lighters. But buying counterfeit products in my country is illegal and is going to be fined... if you d like to buy a real one in Australia, search for an official reseller. I'm sure you'll find one :)

I don’t get the secret compartment on the Bond line since there is a compartment near the flint wheel. There are slots to keep an extra flint in. I don’t know what you can keep in there. Maybe it’s a gimmick and I’m not understanding the functionality.

No, take the gas and flint out. They will degrade and flint expand or make a mess if left 5 to 10 plus years.

I really love the 007 so bad :D But there are different models of james Bond versions. I had one with cufflings to your shirt there said 007, and the 007 lighter had no hole, and it was black and silver. Really nice, but I sold it because I needed the money. But this one here is so nice with the SPECTRA Squid

Nice video. I just did Buy a golden, double flame, yellow gas, and the pattorn is like snakeskin, and it looks really cool.Mine have a perfect pling when opens, pretty close to your silver one. But I find it kinda hard to fill it up. It dont click and tell you when it's turned in right, it might be the buttle there is broken, but it's hard to fill gas on. I'm very scared to take too hard on the lighter and the screw-in-gas. I dont get why it not click when it's far enough screwed in. I did also buy the very nice handmade leather case, and even the price for only the leather pouch was 130 USD. But the best leather work I ever saw in handmade. So, all in all for a little bottle of gas, leather cover and the lighter was close to 1000 USD. We are forced to pay so fucking much in Tax also. My Government is like yours, ONLY PIRATES, stealing from the poorest of people! But I love my Dupont, for sure. VERY eyecatching in gold and the special pliiing makes people turn, haha. Thx for the video

Merci beaucoup pour votre commentaire constructif. Les micro rayures sont due a une utilisation normale, difficile de ne pas les rayer à moins de les garder en exposition comme des œuvres d'art ou de porter de gants blanc. Si vous aviez des briquets de ce type, vous sauriez de quoi je parle.

@@ischmeregal je ne possède que les vieux modèles qui ont plus de 50 ans. Je ne rend pas bien compte de l'usure des briquets neufs comme les vôtres. Je suis étonné qu'ils s'abîment aussi vite. Les miens sont très bien conservés pour leur âge.
