Thanks for the idea on the fuel filter!!! I already had to get towed once due to fuel issue...this might have been enough to save me!

I stole the idea from this post: forums.sailboatowners.com/threads/replace-spin-on-racor.185812/#post-1383810 I just added the primer bulb below the shutoff valve on the fuel intake line.

That's gotta be unnerving to have engine issues right before Miami 😳. If you get a chance I'd be interested in seeing a picture of your filter and the squeeze ball pump that you installed.
