Picked mine up on Friday. 350+ rounds no issues, take down screw very tight, nothing loose, or loosened during range time. sights are great, and quick to make minor adjustments. As for the magazine disconnect, not an issue on a target pistol, especially a 22lr. I agree on the grips as they fit my hand great, controls are easy to reach. Really like this pistol. Great review.

Just got Victory and it is great so far. My only experience with .22 rimfires was 50 yrs ago with a cheap bolt rifle (also a blast to shoot). I've read conflicting arguments about how to best maintain a targeting pistol -- never clean the barrel; clean it but only with a nylon brush and mild cleaner/oil; scour it with a bronze brush and aggressive lead/copper dissolving solvents -- and even the S&W manual isn't much help. So I come to you, Knower of All Things .22 Targeting and ask for your best tips and secrets on cleaning this fine piece of machinery. Thx.

Just FYI, I have had 2 Victory pistols. First one in early 2021 was a jamomatic and the rifling was bored off center. S&W worked on it. Functioned pretty well, but not accurate, even with a new barrel. Sold at a considerable loss. The concept of the pistol and the many marvelous reviews everywhere, convinced me to try again 11/2022, but not before going to a store with a return policy!! The pistol was a jamomatic, extraction, ejection, stove pipes double feeds, bent hollow points nearly in two, light firing pin strikes, magazines did not feed, it was accurate, but I knew that barrel would go with a new throat. Returned. Great Heavens. I used 7 types of quality ammunition on the 2nd one. Different types of CCI, Browning, Federal, and some Golden Bullets. Before buying, check the S&W official site and the threads on the Victory. Very informative.

Great review as always. The part you're calling the slide doesn't move and is actually not a slide. It's a housing that's attached to the barrel, which is attached to the frame. The bolt moves, but this pistol doesn't have a slide. Like you mentioned, as long as you keep the takedown and barrel screws tightened, it will never lose zero with optics or irons.

Scooch, your a man after my own heart. Try the Nub's brand of cigar they are close to the barrel diameter of the gun :-). These are really neat. I've had mine since mid February and I just love it. Triple-K holsters out of Fredericksburg Texas is making custom leather holsters for this little gem. They make some very good Cowboy Action leather goods and I'll be getting mine for the Victory in late March or April. I've seen the videos on how to remove the magazine disconnect. When you do the video, don't forget to show how to re-install if that would be possible. Thanks for all the great videos.

Do you think the idea behind leaving the sight so high is so you'd clear the divot under the adjustment screw when you removed the sight assem. the first time. My thought is if it were lower and in the divot, there's a chance a new owner might bend/break the sight assem. trying to slide it back to remove it. Just a thought... Great vid as always.

I've had my SW22 for about a month now. The screw that holds the rear sight on mine is hex head, not torx. It is smaller than the take down,. and I think they should include that wrench as well, since they include the rail.

Great video. Smith & Wesson has tried 22LR semi-auto pistols before, with less than stellar performance. Time will tell how this competes against the Ruger Mark Series and the Browning Buckmark. Another great video by sootch00. Although both grips are recessed for the mag release, wonder if it can be set for left handed shooters: once again a very excellent video;JSOG6

good video Sootch. Looks like a fine pistol, but since the controls are not ambi, it's not for me being that I'm left handed. However, I recommend you check out the S&W M&P22 pistol as well! This looks great. I have the 22a (which is a high standard clone) and that firing pin goes flying when ever I do a full break down. This looks like it solves that problem. Hey there! Awesome video. I subscribed to your page because I love your videos. Always insightful. I need your help. I'm looking at the Victory and the Ruger 22/45 Lite. I can't decide which one I want. I love them both. The take down is easier on the Victory, but after watching a few videos the Ruger 22/45 isn't all that bad. I'm not sure which pistol will give me more bang for my buck. Also, I love that the Victory has fiber optic sight. But the Ruger feels a little better in my hand, but I'll need to add sights. What are you thoughts? Which do you think is better overall? Oh and I'm a newbie shooter and don't plan on doing any competitive shooting in the near future. Thank you!
