@scooter6168 Is there a reason that you want a 380 over 9mm? Because I would recommend the Equalizer it holds more rounds and it is cut for a RMR...

@@clachapelle for one the ammo compatibility with my wife's 380 would be nice and I am also a novice, as I have only shot pistols a handful of times and was thinking a 380 would be better for My skill level. I wouldn't mind checking out the equalizer as the capacity is a very nice selling point for me compared the 8 rounds you get from the shield ez

War vet 101st Airborne...handled a shit load of guns. I hate when people talk about this gun being for people with low strength, or hand grip issues...no this gun is for people who like to get shit done quick, with minimal effort...I carry this gun over my glock 19, this thing rocks and rolls...in New York gun laws are pretty strict, concealment is key - no issues doing that with this pistol.

I bought one a year ago and love it. It did come with the back sight way to the left tho. I've seen several reviews saying the exact same thing. If you buy one people look at the back sight first before shooting it.

2 years late to the party but just got one today, exact same thing. Rear sights a bit to the left, printing about ~3 inches left at 20 feet.

I just purchased this pistol I have the 1st Gen 9mm Shield, I sold my Taurus 709 Slim and bought this .380 because I wanted a .380 with a grip I could hold, the only .380 I had was a Ruger LCP with a wicked out of control recoil and no grip for an average human. I took this to the range and fell in love. Easy slide racking, easy magazine loader, easy takedown for cleaning, and a couple safeties. This gun was built sort of like the .22 platform being hammer fired. Just a wonderful pistol for all shooters. You won’t find it under $429.95 now. The 9mm EZ is $499.95.

I hate it on the Performance Center version but I got used to it pretty easily on the standard version that I traded in my Glock for. Haven’t really had any issues with it after 300+ rounds, however I have a green laser / flashlight combo on mine so universal holster’s securing strap does press on it. I have the one with the manual thumb safety so that solves that issue especially with drawing practice

I had the same gun but in 9mm as my daily carry for a while but the lack of capacity and grip safety got annoying to me after a while. Never had any issues with the gun itself in 600 rounds though.

Great gun just purchased the other day and fed it some rounds today. If you're wondering if you should pick this up... def do. I'd suggest price shopping, my local gun shop had it onsale for $350 with a $75 rebate from S&W.. so for $275 this was a steal. .

It’s hard finding holsters for this gun with an attachment, I had to go with a TacX universal holster with spare mag carrier and bonus lil flashlight from Amazon along with a Gmconn compact green laser / flashlight combo on mine also from Amazon (300+ rounds and has held my initial zero from before I ever shot the gun sighted to my exact sight point at 10 yards so I’m surprised how well taht’s handled) only thing is the strap that secures the gun does press on the grip safety. I have the manual thumb safety on mine and practice plenty with it where that manual safety is a breeze for me but that’s obviously a to each their own feature. That’s my personal set up that I do recommend

I picked up the same gun for my wife, but from the Performance Center. The Federal hollow point reduced recoil is a nice round, but they are expensive. What are you going to load yours with for her to EDC?

Hi, I have the standard version because I greatly disliked the grip safety on the PC version. However, as for ammo, I carry Hornady Critical Defense 90 grain which matches the grain of my training FMJ rounds (PMC Bronze 90 grain), which all has gone nicely for my gun after 300+ rounds

Bummed that there isn't a nice light/laser combo from crimson. I like the one that reaches the grip and activates with pressure. I'm buying my wife one of these. Also, do they have extended mags?? Not sure why this would be so hard to find but I've had no luck.. Also, holsters for the TLR7 that you're using? Even better if you know any for the TLR8.

Due to old age and failing health I recently bought one of these guns, I like it a lot. However when it arrived in came without any safety. Does anyone know if it is safe to carry with a round in the chamber with only the grip safety? I have an inside the waistband holster that is very tight. By the way this gun costs $1000.00 + in Israel, so you see how lucky you are to live in the USA.

I intentionally bought one without the frame safety. It has the grip safety which is more than sufficient. I’m 73 and like this a lot. The key to success?Practice, practice, practice.

Another one to consider is the Glock 42. It is a little smaller than this one, but still large enough to get a solid grip. It doesn't have a safety on it though so needs a good quality holster to go with it. I own the S&W 380 EZ model shown in the video, and it's a great shooting gun and also fun to shoot; maybe a little big for concealed carry but still okay -- mine is more for home defense though.
