@@Ben82077 Decent point, my guess would be two reasons. The first, it had been a while since he had qual/been SWAT. Most of the time, you have to re-qualify for things. The second would be team cohesion. They were building a new team, and it would be better if he went through training with them rather than join after.

It's a team thing. You may notice at 0:45 Street did a little eye roll, when Sanchez walked by the door. I think he knew enough to check it but wanted her to learn.

Considering the gasmasks they wearing, im pretty certain that was smoke/teargas etc much more likely than flash. Also even if flash, if there was anyone in that room, even if "so slow" it wouldnt really matter, that small and dark space, they gonna be feeling that thing for while
