Nick, much appreciate the comparison. I’ve not shot the bodyguard 2.0, but I have shot the G43X extensively. I would like to shoot the bodyguard 2.0 at some point, but I have the Shield Plus and for me it or my SIG P365XL would be my choice every time. Preferably the Shield Plus, but I’m somewhat biased towards all of the M&P 2.0’s. Glad you’re feeling better, thanks for all you do!

The BG 2.0 is easy to rack? You are the first person I have seen who thinks so. Mine certainly wasn't/isn't (though with time it isn't as difficult as it was at first). Still, it is far-and-away the best pocket-sized .380 on the market today.

I had the Max a couple of years ago. I sold it because of the build quality and got the G42. I’ve had the BG2.0 for a couple of months and yes, it’s more expensive than the Ruger, but it feels and looks more expensive. It shoots better as well being slightly bigger. These are not range guns where a bunch of rounds can go down range, but shooting enough for quality practice and function tests are okay.

Glock 43X is the way better gun. It is way more reliable. You can easily load both 10 and 15 round magazines to actual capacity, and it fires 9mm. The BG 2.0 clearly has bugs and is unproven. Sure, you can conceal the 2.0 easier, but if it doesn't go bang 100% of the time, it's more useless than a rock in your pocket.
@averagemarksman15 күн бұрын
Every gun has bugs when it’s first released. The BG2.0 in the video has 500 plus rounds through it and the only issue it’s had is with the magazines and some terrible Remington defensive ammo that was out of spec. They are both fantastic options for two different situations.
@averagemarksman15 күн бұрын
The 2.0 in the video has 500 rounds through it and has only had issues with the magazines and out of spec Remington defensive ammo. All new guns have issues. The 43 was no exception. The are both great options for two different situations.
@clutchcargo123915 күн бұрын
@averagemarksman I bought both guns immediately after they came out. The BG 2.0 has problems that the scripted S&W people reviewing it pretend don't exist. The only problem a 43X ever had out of the box was the silver slide felt gritty... and a heavy glock trigger. There were zero magazine or function problems whatsoever. It ate everything I fed it. They slide, and the trigger both improved over a short time. Let's quit pretending. People that bought these 2.0 guns know exactly what is wrong with them. The gun itself is a hit or miss proposition with a plethora of problems. Literally, all of the mags are defective. The flush mounts aren't as bad as the extended. Everyone knows this. If you complain to S&W, they will send you new mags that are exactly the same. Let's not kid each other. 🔫
@averagemarksman15 күн бұрын
@ the 43 had issues when it first came out. Because you didn’t see issues with the four years later when the 43x was released doesn’t means they didn’t exist. I pointed out issues with the 2.0 the day I took it out of the box. It happens. It will get fixed.
@clutchcargo123915 күн бұрын
@averagemarksman Lol, I bought the G43 too, not at first, but shortly after it came out. The only problem it had was a heavy glock trigger. Still have that 43. One thing they got right on the BG 2.0 is ergo. The concept is great, and the execution is poor. Sure, there may be problems in new guns, but jammed recoil spring that leaves you fiddling with a broken gun, live round in the chamber... A random dead trigger, feeding problems with standard ball ammunition. Magazines that can't be filled, or when filled, do not easily insert or release from the gun... That about covers the new S&W BG... it should not have been released with these problems unresolved. Anyway, people know what's up with S&W and this gun. The 9 Plus and CSX were bad enough... This gun is indefensable in its out of box condition... Mine new S&W guns are range toys. I find it hard to believe anything said by someone who says this gun is good for anything else... ai could not trust either. This is a negative reputation S&W is developing. I hope they pull there head out.
