Sezane is perhaps the biggest IT brand of the 2020s. I feel like I see the brand wherever I look. Is it the French charm clouding our judgment, or is the brand really that good? Well, this video is your answer.

It sounds like an advertisement for Sezane)). I live in France, so I had an occasion to try and own several things from this brand. It doesn't seem to me really qualitative, especially compared to some others French brands of the middle range.

I got the Mariniere (Breton-stripe top) but was so disappointed when I realized the sleeves are 3/4-, not full-length. The fabric is heavy, so I got this for autumn through spring, but it leaves my lower arms icy. I hate having to wear wrist warmers to cover that gap, they spoil the look, even with my plain, solid silk ones. I never buy 3/4-sleeves, at least not knowingly. Another negative about Sezane is they don’t take customer reviews, so it’s not possible to see how their garments work for others, except for on a few specialty YT channels, like Mila in New York, or Zory Mory. Both these ladies are taller and have very different shapes than me, I’m short and nearly stick-straight, so it’s not easy to approximate how they might fit me. Thanks for your review❤

I also buy Breton stripe top, and even I'm not so disappointed like you, however, 3/4 sleeves is not my cup of tea, I want full length too.

hi, there are 2 french brands I know that make really good quality heavy-cotton marinieres: Saint James & Royal Mer. They offer a wide range of colours & sleeve length. I have 2 marinieres from St James & they last quite awhile (5yrs & counting), my Royal Mer cardigan is also still in good condition even though my mom bought it in 2012 or so. There is also one called Armor Lux, but the cotton weight is lighter & maybe it’s better suited for summer weather. I usually find them in “sailing shops” 😊 hope this helps!

I lovveeee Sezanne, heavy fabrics, great craftmanship that you COULD wear things inside out and look tidy, and the softest materials. I always go for natural fibres with them (and any other brand). Their fitting is always amazing on me too! huge fan over here

I love the Colette mariniere top you talked about - I have it in the navy with gold stripe and it’s one of my most useful wardrobe items. It was the star of a recent winter trip to Japan, worn with a shirt underneath 😊.

I like this brand a lot, except for their mixed-fiber knits, which are extremely itchy. I’m not sure if it’s the synthetic fibers or the alpaca fibers, but I find them intolerable. On the other hand, their 100% merino and wool/cotton knits are lovely. Their clothes also fit well, which is hard for me to find, and are great quality. I really loved the silk items I got from them last year, I hope they soon offer more in this, my favorite, fabric. PS, I recently got some of their goat-leather clothes, but even after a couple months of airing, I’m not sure I can tolerate the stink enough to wear them. Another criticism is that their trousers only come in one, long length, but I need shorter ones. I love the wool-knit ones, but I’m not sure how they can be hemmed; they can’t be cut, of course, to remove excess length, as with woven ones, so somehow the extra inches of length need to be folded and stitched.

I have no issue with synthetic fibers. But I dont like things that are made in V Vietnam or Mexico, or whatever. I refuse to wear them. I just cant look at a tag that says that. It makes me ill.

I don’t mind some synthetic content but I can’t bear mohair or alpaca fibres, they itch like mad on me. I love the 100% cotton knitwear they make (since I’ve become sensitive to merino with menopause 😱 - hoping it’s temporary).

Unfortunately this brand does not meet the criteria on the "good on you" website. Bummer as I like the styles offered here.

The Betty is lovely - I always size up one size. The pants are great but their sizes run a little different - I have 34 in some, 36 in others, and in one case I'd probably have needed a 38 because the lining is non-stretch. My favorites are the Dan and 70's. Le crop are very comfortable summer jeans, unless you're short, then you can probably wear then year around. c:

Nice suggestions, I also love their pieces- I have a few- I am eyeing on their trench coat and some trousers now. I have a Farrow bag-it is well priced, great quality leather and cool basket bag size for everyday. Claude bags are beautiful however they are pricey (I was expecting to price them around 250 Euros) and small…

They might be having some quality products, however very bad customer service. I have fought with a product return for almost a month and no apology was addressed. Since then I have stopped purchasing from them. And unfortunately I am not the only one that had issues with them

But they aren't made in France tho. Said rather pay more, or get ripped off if you think. I dont want things made in a developing country. I just dont trust the quality.
