There's a very easy to spot visual cue when you can or need to swap cancel. Moves that Yinlin flips over to show her thicc thighs mean you need to swap cancel. Reso skill 2nd hit- flips, shows thighs NA 3rd hit- same Forte- sits on your face..

I was also using basic attacks, and was having issues consistency doing decent damage. Today I figured out the heavy attacks got me to forte faster, with my echos rolling heavy I have good idea of how I want to play her now. Glad this video confirms some of my testing trying to get better with her. She is different than Encore who I generally want to avoid heavy attacks, so I don't get animation locked in coop.

You don't need to remember them. All you really need to know is that some of her animations are long, and allow you to swap off, and the important ones are only skill 2 and forte. The basic atk 3 probably won't be used that much so forget about it for now

Tbh her outro buff gives Calcharo a massive nuke with his liberation, and most players will not use the death messenger cancel tech but will use death messenger whenever they see the opportunity, buff lasts long enough and is forgiving, making her still amazing to use for Calcharo, I can see death messenger canceling being important in holograms, but in tower there isn't much to worry about. You never swaps, this tech is dead now. You will lost all buffs the moment you press swap. Now you will always play 1 by 1, 6-7sec on Calcharo, then 6-7sec on her, otherwise all your buffs is wasted. That’s what changed from cbt2 to live.

I don't think this is even her optimal combos and he also didn't even dive into team specific rotations but honestly you don't really need to be all that optimal unless you're tryharding for Tower. As long you understand her basic mechanics it should be enough to clear most content.

I like how Kuro puts out characters with "intended" rotations (Intro -> Skill -> BA1+2+3+4 -> Skill) that perfectly fill concerto and forte, but then ignoring all that completely is the optimal way to play. Tested this for a couple of hours and it's a pretty big gap in dps. Outstanding work as always iwtl. Thank you!

For even my Electro Echo on Cal still copiously bad, I put Heron Moonlit set on YinLin and changing her playstyle a bit around her Forte HA. Instead of Swap Cancel at Forte HA, I use liberation (ult) to animation cancel the Forte HA, then immediately Echo Skill Heron Swap Cancel into my DPS.

Why is swap cancelling not mentioned in skill descriptions when it has this much effect on the game? Sure some things are nice to learn as you play but this seems like a fundamental game mechanic like how to do a basic attack, or how to do a heavy attack.

Because it was never intended to be in the game. It was a bug but then the very incel CN community threatened to kill the game if the bug was fixed, so now we have this mess of a game that will completely ignore all intro/outro buffs because the bug is straight up better.

Hear me out, I use verina to start off the buffing rotation then into Yinlin's buff for Calcharo, keep him on field for the duration of Yinlin's buff and then go unga bunga with Calcharo. If feels really good. Quick swap play is cool but I really setting Calcharo up to do a burst of DMG for x amount of time I have on max buff to dish out a ton of DMG.

You just put her mark and outro to Calcharo, use everything in 7s go back and use everything on her. There is no more swap combo like in cbt2 because the moment you swap all your buffs is disappear. That’s what was changed on release.

Is it better to use the crystal solvents to rush UL40 or to save and use on the double echo drop event for tacet? Also next update tacet field drops are being buffed so should I wait to use crystal solvents then? I feel like if u want to play optimally you should wait at least until double drops event, and if u can’t have unlimited farming in double drops (ie only limited by how many waveplates you have) then wait till 1.1 for buffed drops yeah? Or is UL40 that big of a buff that it’s better to rush?
