Very OEM look, which is terrific. However, the price of that look is a painful last step of install wherein alignment of the top layer is extremely difficult.

Hey - did you get one of the ones with a metal backing, or the plastic backing? The metal backing made it much more difficult to align correctly, so we elected to go back to an ASA (plastic that's highly resistant to warping in heat) backing instead. I do want to acknowledge that even the plastic backing CAN be difficult to perfectly align. It's the tradeoff of needing something that universally fits the minor variations we know exist across production runs on Rivian's end.

Do you feel the magnet connect so you know it's on the puck? Will it hold it in place or is it just going to slide all over?

Hey - apologies for not seeing this question earlier! Yes, there is a discernible feeling of the phone connecting with the MagSafe adapter when you put your phone down. If you've an Android phone that doesn't yet support Qi2, it will take a MagSafe adapter ring widely available on Amazon.

we got our R1s 3 weeks ago.. dealing with wind noise on the side mirror/glass area, some vibration around 80mph+.. so far we are happy. hopefully Rivian can fix these issues. The wireless charger is not good either. Key fob response is better now.. but it was really bad when delivered.

Yeah - wind noise from that triangle window has been a common complaint. Some have fixed it with a strip of tape. Some service centers have been able to replace with an updated design. I had mine replaced early on, but it didn't make much of an impact because they hadn't redesigned yet.

I have never used mag safe chargers with my IPhones. What is to stop the phones from sliding like they do on the OEM mat? Obviously, they must be magnetic but is it strong enough to keep them in place and will it charge through a case and also stay in place? Looks like a great option though!!

The MagSafe chargers autocenter your devices to the charging puck. Works really fast and assures that your device is aligned well, hence why it can charge at up to 15 watts.

I just put it on and my iPhone 14 Pro Max with MagSafe case sticks. If it’s a little off, the MagSafe moves the phone into the right place. I want to test it while driving now

Worth noting that only Apple's MagSafe pucks on iPhone 11 Pro or later will charge at 15W, and even then the bit of wood material between the MagSafe and phone WILL reduce the charging rate a bit. That's just physics =)@@cchallett1
