Great instructions and it looks awesome! I will finally have reliable charging in my R1S!

I recommend, once you have the wire tapped into fuse box and the ground secure that you plug the MagSafe in and make sure you have power before tucking everything away. I received a bad module and it did not power up the charger. Wasted some time running the cable and then undoing it all.

Agreed I just plugged in my iPhone to check before I did anything with the trim.

Ok, my question is how does this integrate with your carplay screen when both use the same fuse? Do both wires (one from the magsafe mount, one from the carplay unit) just stack one onto the other? --> By this, I mean, plug existing fuse into one wire connector, plug that into second wire connector, then plug that stack into the open fuse port on the panel?

Ya I am curious of this as well I asked on the CarPlay video no response. Do we “daisy chain” the fuse taps or is there an alternate fuse for 2nd tap?
@EVSportline4 ай бұрын
If you are using both devices, we recommend tapping into two different fuse locations: 48 and 62. Please feel free to reach out to use for further direction. support@evsportline.com

I like the charging setup. I would prefer to have the phone in front of me above the steering wheel so I am not looking at the side. Any chance to have the bracket modified to be in front of you?

Step 1. Be real handy with tools. Step 2. Be real confident you’re not gonna forget which fuse goes where. Step 3. Call Jose; he’ll take $50 to to the job and you can just watch 😅

Looks like a way better solution than the dozen or so others on the market. Does the steering wheel block it at all?
@EVSportline7 ай бұрын
All clear, no issues with steering wheel blocking the view.

Anybody knows hpw to turn off the Led letters light around the charger ? Very bright for my likes

Couple of quick questions. I installed setup and it's very clean however the unit still lighting up when I lock the vehicle.I thought this was an accessory circuit that cuts off continuous power when shut down. The ball on the bracket is also spinning freely. Quick update: just wanted to shout out to great customer service. They are sending me a free replacement bracket and they clarified the circuit shuts off after awhile when the vehicle goes to sleep

this is normal, for it to be on - when the Rivian eventually 'turns off', so will the charger.

Same instructions for the 2025 Rivian R1S?

Nice clean mount. I like it alot. Quick question how do you get the main dash screen to show efficiency chart rather than map?
@DinhNguyen-wv9xs7 ай бұрын
Left of steering wheels. The two button by the scroll wheel(previous/next track buttons?) . Just press and hold it. It'll cycle between efficiency, minj map and wheel TMPS pressures

@DinhNguyen-wv9xs nice thanks. Owned the R1S for 6 month and did no know that. Thanks

I noticed that the Magnetic MagSafe phone mount light does not turn off, is this pulling power while not in use?
@EVSportline3 ай бұрын
it shuts off when the Rivian shuts off. If the light it on, the Rivian is on still (you're phone is close enough to keep it on)

Awesome do you have one for the F-150 Lightning?

I had this idea and put together a basterdized approach to this. Nowhere near as clean so I just ordered this. Can't wait!

Gen2 compatible?
@coreyjones48532 ай бұрын
I’d love to know this too!
@ervwalter2 ай бұрын
@@coreyjones4853 It's not completely compatible. The fuse box is not there in Gen2. I am still using the nice mount, but I had to run a traditional USB cable from the center console, under the dash, to get to the magsafe mount.
@coreyjones48532 ай бұрын
@@ervwalter thanks! I thought that might be the case with all the wiring changes. Glad to know the mount portion still works. I might give it a try!
@codymayer7717 күн бұрын
Yes, it is Gen2 compatible. It uses a different wire harness that does not rely on power from the fuse box.
@BlueDotInvestors3 күн бұрын
@@codymayer77could you elaborate? I just bought it for Gen 2 but have no idea how to install it for power, but I did install the mount.
