I think Foster, far too often, pushes the listener to share their thoughts only to get upset about them and shut listener down. In this: “hey can we have Sof over?” Listener: “Yeah I guess” “You don’t seem happy, wanna talk, we don’t have to have her over.” “I’m fine with it, as long as you don’t take photos.” “You’re being jealous and misunderstanding me.” Listener: “I’m just sharing how I’m feeling and what I need.” “I’m not having this conversation now, let’s just have her over and do this my way.” And it’s so frustrating because she oscillates between wanting to talk and refusing to constantly.

I’m new to you and your series and I’m loving it but I’ve gotta say that situation really sucks. Don’t get me wrong, foster is in an impossible situation but the one thing that really bugs me is that they have never asked what the listener thought and felt about all this. It’s always, I don’t want to lose you. My job this, my job that. And don’t get me started on Sophia Sophia Sophia! Listener has been nothing but supportive and now once they seemed to have voiced some push back, speaker is getting defensive and aggressive, borderline gaslighting actually. Even in this audio, the amount of times the speaker says me and I is astronomical. The speaker easily made it all about herself and how she’s having a hard time.
