Hello everyone.
Most bikers, including us, prefer lock-on grips, but here and there we come across a bike that still has classic rubber grips.
There is almost always a problem with them slipping and sliding on the handlebar.
Here is a neat trick to stop them from slipping.
Use a hairspray of any kind. Spray inside the grip and on the handlebar. You should be able to easily slide them on, while still wet.
Wait over night and the grips should be stuck in place. They are not glued though therefore there is always an option to exchange them for the better lock-on ones.

I used a fabric bandaid. Worked like a charm!

Grip tape and solvent used for golf club grips. Yes you will have to cut the grips off and use a serious goop remover to clean the bars if you ever change the grips out. But once they set they won't ever come off or move. If you're used to re-gripping your golf clubs every couple years its no big deal.

How do you make the lock on grips not stick ?? I’ve tighten so much any no luck

WD40 works really well, my dad taught me this when I was a kid. You'd think it would lubricate it but it does when wet which gives you time to set them where you want, then when it dries it gives it nice grip almost like this here vid or glue.
