S07E06 - Shimano Nexus - Broken shifter

Hello everyone. Today we are going to replace a broken shifter on Shimano Nexus 7 speed internal geared hub.
Lets start by removing the old broken shifter and cable.
Lube the end of the outer gear casing and place the protective end cap over it. This repels water.
Route the cable through the outer.
Turn the adjustment knob all the way in. Then turn it two turns back.
Set your shifter in fourth gear. Check the manual for specific instructions.
Pass the inner cable through the fixing bolt.
Use the allen key to turn the pulley into position for hooking the cable to it.
There are two yellow setting lines on the hub that you should closely line up when placing the fixing bolt on the cable. This is a bit of trial and error. Use the adjustment knob for fine adjustment. Don’t forget that you should be in fourth gear on the shifter.
When all done, cut the cable and squeeze on the protective cap.

1:50 "...this is a bit of trial & error"..... not at all!The distance of the cable between the locking bolt center and the end of the cable guide should be 10cm.

Missing parts of the disassemble in this movie, it sucks, you don't know we're the screws are mounted, the shifter is stuck and in this movie he pulls it right of the steering without disassemble.
