Review when I wake up, I will hit the snooze and thank for my loyal alarm. Then I will lay in my bed for several minutes and scroll my phone. Later I will get up and brush my tooth and wash my face. Then I whip up some toasts and make myself a cup of milk. This is my pretty standard/ fairly ordinary morning. I love these expression. Make myself a cup of a tea: means just make a cup for myself. The amount is very small and just can serve for myself. whip up some toasts: means just cook easy food without following the recipe due to lacking time. head off/head out: go out Thank you for your teaching😊

Superb! ESL teacher here. Well structured. Well explained. I especially like the way you have focused on a just few vocab items and repeated them to make them hopefully memorable without being boring. This is quite challenging to listen to, but not impossibly so. Also like the juxtapositioning of Brit and American, again without being stuffy and overly analytical. Very much looking forward to finding more from you.

There are lots of advanced English videos that focus on long and difficult words on very precise academic subjects, but we think it's much more impressive when students can talk about ordinary things in greater detail! Wow, I can realised that this VDO has been created with full of effort. I'm Asian who graduated her master's degree from the UK. And I also work as a teacher (some specfic field of study, but teach in English program). So, I've been seeking a VDO like this for a long time, a VDO for upper-intermediate to advanced level. I can't thank you enough for this. I've just listened & watched your clip around 10 minutes and I've fallen in love with your VDO and the way you described everything there. Yes, English is not my mother-tongue language, and there is still a room for development. I've enrolled for 120-hour TESOL/TEFL course for a while, trying to improve myself, and your excellent VDOs will be a part of my development from now on. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

We were taught that in the word "often" T is silent.. But Mark spelled T... I mean T sounded very apparently!!!
@highlevellistening5 ай бұрын
It really depends on the word *and* the accent of the speaker. The more you listen to our episodes, the more you'll realise that Kat (USA) pronounces "T" more like a "D". Whereas I (Mark - UK) pronounce the T more often, *or* I skip it at the end of words especially. On top of that, some stronger British accents skip the T more often, but I have a neutral accent, so most of the time you can hear mine - I hope that makes sense!

This morning was pretty standard for me. I woke up around 6 am. Making ablution which is an islamic ritual of cleansing that is performed 5 times a day before worship. So it must make in order : Wasking hands, rinsing mouth and nose, washing face, washing forearms, wiping head and washing feets. Then i pray and begin my morning. Actually i skip breakfast and make only coffee or tea with little milk to not stain my teeth then got dressed for the day. And that's about it , really.

I really liked this type of podcasts. It is very useful. I liked that you explained almost every phrase. That what I really need. And also I liked the way you explained the difference between British and American English. It is useful and helpful a lot!

This morning was fairly ordinary for me, I woke up at 4 AM, performed wudhu, and prayed tahajjud. After that i went to the mosque for the morning prayer, then stayed to listen to religious lectures until 6 AM. At 7 AM i worked out by running for about 1 hour and covered 6 kilometers. After that, i rested and had breakfast.
