train how you feel and not by how people think. people seem to fail to realize that everyone's body responds differently. i train how i feel i should and the proof is in the pudding that it works. so never let anyone steer you away from your way...only allow them to have input and if it's good advice take it.

Fairplay to TJ he's got some great genetics, similar to that of Dennis Wolf, tall with long limbs that look awesome! When I saw him doing them cable cross', he has the EXACT technique and rhythm of Branch Warren! But then I suppose J.O.J is gonna practice what he preaches and teach his clients the raw, clanging and banging, powerful lifting! I think maybe if this guy could spend some time with B-Pak and learn more in detail about the scientific approach to training then he would see a dramatic improvement in the 'lagging' areas. Besides that great vid Mutant and J.O.J and best of luck to TJ in his show!

The white dude has some big bone structures. Those kind of people has power on the chest, but the pecs has to be thicker to look bigger. Therefore harder to train than those people with smaller bone structurer.

Boy, JoJ ain't just whistling Dixie when he says the guy has a weak chest. Flat bench he didn't even get a single on his own with 315. That's disgraceful for a guy this size who's wanting to earn his pro card. I mean, yeah it's bodybuilding not powerlifting but still bodybuilding is about "progressive weight training." isn't it? Btw, that's a rhetorical question. I'm not looking for an answer there.
@Anduehan978 жыл бұрын
+Zigz Zagz that was after probably 5 sets of incline and maybe 4 sets of floor press its understandable
@zigzzagz57328 жыл бұрын
Anduehan97 We have no idea if this is the case or not, but common practice when making a video of this type is to show their strongest sets, not their weakest sets, so I have to doubt that it is "probable" and more like unlikely that this is after his heavy training.

your trying to tell me his chest and back are the weakpoints? are you kidding? it's clearly his arms his chest and back are fine
@MrEast11110 жыл бұрын
Nah, his back is definitely lacking. Look at his posing. You must be blind
@chicken6460010 жыл бұрын
Hes not very strong if you watch him on flat he couldnt get 315 once so.. Just an observation though
@PastFailure10 жыл бұрын
His TRAPS are enormous. His back is actually one of his weaker points. Its lack of thickness really works against him when competing.
@archilonshadowheart710 жыл бұрын
his back may be weak, but his arms are by far the weakest.
@ericstewart092110 жыл бұрын
***** Are you kidding me?!!! JOJ deadlifts over 800. His back is NOT weak. What the hell do you see his traps attached too? You're blind.

I have always felt that Johnny Jackson's arms are lacking if he brought them up he would be a lot better off. Its probably a genetic thing that's why they don't grow so much.

His construction of a chest workout has no cohesiveness. Starting with incline, good; but then doing floor presses, why? Floor presses is good for one of two things; either building a person's arm power on the bench press, or building up the triceps. Then to continue on with flat bench makes no sense; the person will have absolutely no arm strength, at all, from the floor presses. Another thing to mention is that it's one or the other, floor presses or flat bench. Any pro-power lifter will say that. I have never seen a power lifter perform those two lifts in the same. They usually do floor presses on an accessory day. Then to continue on with flat dumbbell press, why? I could understand doing flat barbell and dumbbell in the same day; one is more of a brute movement that incorporates a lot of accessory muscles to help with the lift, building the small things, and the other allows for a deeper stretch and squeeze, allowing more blood flow. But to do those three forms of pressing back to back? The workout would have been constructed perfectly if the line-up was done like this; Incline Barbell Press, Flat Barbell Press, Flat Dumbbell Press, High Cable Flys. Pretty much, those floor presses just annoyed me.
@ixine-ni7vt10 жыл бұрын
But do you look as good as him? Lmao
@rkofu110 жыл бұрын
.....I don't know what that has to do with anything? I simply just had an input of his chest workout. Me looking better then him has nothing to do with that input. Also, somebody could construct an entire workout and it could suck, regardless of how they look. That has to do with genetics, not a great workout. I've seen people who have done a shitty workout by textbook standards and they look great and then I have seen people construct some of the best workouts ever and they don't see any gains.
@bdegrds10 жыл бұрын
lolol cohesion? dude put the books down and actually start training. all those bullshit theories and "perfect workouts" you read about mean nothing under the bar. JOJ is an Elite world class powerlifter and an Elite world class bodybuilder. He has a Pro card in 2 different sports. Instead of trying to correct someone who you will never ever be anywhere as good as, shut up and just take notes. You are trying to be lean,muscular and strong. In essence you are trying to be JOJ, yet your going to bash him? lol
@rkofu110 жыл бұрын
Well, for one my friend, I've been training for 10-years; for another, I don't read "books," as a matter of fact, all of the knowledge that I have of training and dieting comes from various videos and articles that I have watched/read by people like Johnnie, Then finally, I'm not "bashing" Johnnie at all; I was just stating how I wasn't a fan of the construction of his chest workout. I was only saying that I don't think that much volume is completely necessary, that was all. You see, you read my comment and automatically determined that I must be a beginner and that I know nothing of what properly goes into training to be an elite athlete, right? But you are wrong, I've been training now for a decade and I have learned numerous amounts of ways to train, diet, supplement, etc. for various different sports; either through videos like this, articles off reputable sites, and reading many biological/chemical books through my college years currently. You shouldn't just jump to conclusions.
@bdegrds10 жыл бұрын
you only truly learn how to train in the gym. ive been at it for 19 years. theories don't mean anything. People used to just go to the gym and train as hard as they can for as long as they can then go home and eat meat by the pound. but today everyone just wants to over complicate things. guys like JOJ train that way and its proven to be the best method. that's my point.
@BlassphemyX10 жыл бұрын
Johnny knows what it takes to win a comp...so he means what he knows this guy need to " big up " to get a win....that's the meaning of weak points....cameras and mirrors make images look a lot bigger than normal so think about that and stop being negative about shirt like you're a guru on anything.....lmfaoooo...damn youtube specialist....second guessing a professionals opinion on a certain matter...
@Thedabman9 жыл бұрын
So, his chest and back is weak body parts, and they train chest - yet, he does 3 plates for only 4 reps... So, why not drop a plate and run 10 reps now the chest is lagging? 4 reps makes 0 sence.
