S1 E3 Family prayers | From zero to Hail Mary

Just what we as parents need, a refreshingly honest look at family prayer. There is nothing more disheartening or excluding than this ideal of parents and their children all sat around peacefully knelt, Saint-like in prayer (like my Granny used to say, there are no angels, but in heaven 😂). Real life is messy, it’s noisy, it’s imperfect, it’s doing the best we can do every day with our human limitations. We’ve all had those days where neither our children or ourselves have been at our best (in fact it would be more accurate to say we rarely ever have days where anyone is at their best 🤦🏻‍♀️😂.) Thank you Maria for being brave enough to show real parenting, real family, in all it’s imperfect beauty. Sadly as a cradle Catholic I came from a home that really didn’t demonstrate prayer, prayer was something done in private. In fact for years and years I used to question if I really knew how to pray. It was so hard to bring that into my daily life, in fact I still struggle with it now. This video has encouraged me to keep striving for that prayer routine that I so long for. I loved you shouting at Hugo! 😄 the fact you show normal family life and all the chaos and love, joys and sorrows shows how we pray in the middle of it all. As you say, not relying on feelings but instead obedience and love for God ❤🌹🔥

You're right. In truth there should be a bit more thrown into the episodes. We all know it happens. It's a good laugh for the parents and the children when they're older. How did you come across the channel?

@@oneofnine I really don't know! I watch Catholic content so I think it was suggested to me. Since then (about 2 days ago) I have watched every video because it completely centers me in God. I also recommended you to a great friend who homeschools 6, although only 3 are already adults, 1 is married. We are both Brits living in the USA on the West Coast, so 8 hours behind you 😄

Very inspiring as you are showing the daily struggles but God loves to hear the prayers of His little ones and what Our Lady wants is for us to persevere and that is always the hardest thing and yes must say once you consecrate your live to Jesus through His blessed mother the graces increase but the battles as well :) blessed weekend x
