Using the cut down stock S10 rotor as a hub with 98-02 Camaro/Firebird rotors and aluminum calipers reduces weight instead of increasing it. And they work better than the 2wd. Blazer brakes.

I thought about doing the twin piston calipers, spindles etc for a long time until I found out they switched to those bearing assembly's, decided against it just not as realiable as the old design

I’ve seen people swap to c5 corvette breaks. Have you looked into the weight of that setup?

With the QA1 coilovers can you use the stock upper and lower control arms and just use the coilovers to adjust ride height?

Yes you can use stock upper and lowers. And just use the coil overs to adjust the hight... but tubular uppers from speedway motors are cheap I would suggest buying them.

To replace the factory shock/springs for coilovers do you have to change the the factory control arms too?

00-04 blazer with the Hub bearings

@@runsgarage6813 I believe these brake setups are on 1998-2004 2WD Blazers and Jimmys. If you get a chance put the ZQ8 swaybar on the scale. It comes on these Blazers and is quite a bit heavier than the stock truck swaybar.

Care to explain why it's best to buy 2 right side upper arms?

Cause the right arm is 8 and the left is 8.5 so if you use both rights both sides will be 8 long and for drag racing purposes it helps with the alignment set up and travel when launching

Because he bought upper control arms for a "metric chassis". Same suspension as an s10 but used on a circle track so one side is shorter.
