S13 R200 LSD Rebuild PT1

I decided that I should inspect the diff for the 2JZ S13 before blindly installing. Found a some surprises and had to buy more equipment to get the job done.

Hehe! Actually a pellet fire converted to burn waste oil! Unfortunately it ended up destroying it from excessive heat and carbon buildup but it was sweet while it lasted.

I'm in tas, if I ever get this going, power level wont be that high, I'm only running a baby turbo.

hey man did you ever figure out where that washer came from? i was taking apart an old r200 vlsd today and found 3 washers in the same spot

@@TurnerTVOfficial I just found the exact some washer in my r200 VLSD that I took apart! Mine had markings of being chewed up by gears on the edges. Otherwise, it looks exactly the same. I was just now searching for videos of people with the same little washer in their diff to figure out what its for. It MUST be part of the diff or somehow common for them to get in there if 3 random Internet strangers all have seen this same washer!

@@LC-qp7pr You are right! Either it is commonly in there or way too many people drop washers in diffs! I will be interesting to see if mine works ok once i put some explosions in the engine :)

Turner TV ya I’ve been researching online and trying to think of where the heck that washer could have come from. Ditto on finding out if the diff is still good. We’re in this together!

There should be 3 curved spring type washers. It's the same on my Nismo GT 1.5 Way LSD. I assumed they're there to put some preload on the axle stubs when theyre pushed in.
