@@cliff_hatch3r you do realize you could blow most body shops out of the water right? Most shops can't find the labor to do this type of finish anymore. It's really only the good ol boys in the garage now getting finishes like this.
@cliff_hatch3r Жыл бұрын
@Speedokote refinish network you're not wrong. Most shops don't wanna do jobs like that. I actually work at a shop that I've been at for 10 plus years. all these jobs are side hustles right now. Maybe I can start my own thing in the future.

I was useing 3m compound until I tried meguiars 110 , beats the hell out of 3m,, unbelievable difference will take out 1000 grit sandpaper scratches and leaves it looking like it's been compounded and polished all with one pass with a wool pad on rotary buffer, well worth the 40 dollars a quart, l won't use anything else now.
@cliff_hatch3r4 ай бұрын
@@georgespangler1517 I've only ever used 3m products. I'll definitely have to try the meguiars

After flowcoating and you wetsand and buff, if you burn through the new layer of clear, will it show the 2 different layers?
@cliff_hatch3r5 ай бұрын
@@89GTFoxDude honestly I don't know. I haven't cut thru to find out. I've had a few people ask me that. I'll have to do a test panel to figure that out
@89GTFoxDude5 ай бұрын
@@cliff_hatch3r Ok I will keep posted for that vid. I have been wondering myself and afraid the 2+ layers of clear will show since they dried at different times. I hope not.

@89GTFoxDude the thought process makes sense but I'm not 100% sure. I've def got some experimenting to do

An awful lot of work for a drag car. Most drag cars are abused as far as finish of the paint goes.

Yeah, you're right about that, but some folks want a good looking hotrod too
