This is beautiful❤. I love the realness and honesty I didn't even know there was something called church hurt😊

Awesome 💙. This is the Lord's doing and it's marvelous in our sight. The significance of this topic cannot be overemphasized. The foundation of the problem of hurt in the church is rooted in the fact that both the leaders and followers in the church are getting the word, Christianity, is all about. Once the two sides can have an objective meaning of the word, all other challenges can easily be faced and resolved.

Yes right, we are all there to learn from God and that alone should help us easily address challenges objectively

So good! Love how each of you shared your thoughts on the topic. I totally agree with Kishi tho, allow people to feel what they need to feel, don’t just slap forgiveness on it like a patch and move on 😂 😂 Forgiveness can also be a process of healing that the Lord is ever ready to do in us! Also shoutout to Kishi’s Dad! Love love the intentionality

Church starts from a Family!

I’ve never experienced this because I never allow myself to be involved in church people or the leaders. For some reason, I’ve never been one to chum up to church people especially pastors. If I don’t chum up to you, you can never know my business, I mean I don’t even carry my matter to pastor!!! Then always, I’ve never ever made people, no matter how anointed they are, the reason or basis for my God experience, even when I was still a baby in faith. I think when people do that, it’ll help them. Your church leader is human, so yes, they can’t be flawless. I’m not gonna leave a church because someone offended me, pastor or no pastor. Na their papa house?!!!

This!!!!! Every single thing you said!!!!! I agree with you on never overestimating the place and position of God’s people that we begin to easily get swayed by their humanity when it’s expressed!

I'd really help if someone who church has actually dealt with or someone who has seen shege in church tells their story, it hits different. That is if they are willing to. Church is a place for the vulnerable and vulnerability. The onus is on leadership of church to ensure as best as possible that the lambs that come in are not preyed upon by people who have no business being in leadership at any level. This is why the standard for being a Deacon is pretty high in the Bible. You don't tell a child whose father or brother molested that her father is human as if it's a reason for her molestation to be normal. Some "humaness" are inexcusable o

It’s actually ok to feel hurt but don’t dwell in it. Cause the devil is very cunny and always find loopholes into the heart of man and the moment you dwell in tht hurt then there are loopholes for him to come in and give the feeling more weight than it should be . Let your gaze be on God , as he is worth more than any feeling we might have

Jesus is not a Joke. Its OK to feel and express your hurt but don't take your eyes off Jesus. Withdrawing from God simply says where you heart has been. Let your focus be on God! #TeamEyesonGod

There's an unintended consequence of over simplifying church hurt as though its bound to happen. It's not supposed to be happening o. It's not inevitable. It's the excuse we made for the little hurts that created the monsters today. PS: big churches were once small churches. It's just that some big churches got better at sweeping things under the rug and shutting victims up. Please it's not okay to be raped, abused, stolen from, duped, gaslit etc in church. That's not what Jesus died for. And He holds us all to high standards not perpetual carnality that causes us to keep devouring one another and making excuses for it.

Unusual take: Church is not a place of work. To equate office drama with being abused or molested in the one place one should be healed, nurtured and trained in righteousness sounds a little odd to me. Church is supposed to be that family that is not dysfunctional that everyone is entitled to being a part of. Church is God's called out people If people can hurt people then Church can hurt people When your family members hurt you, it's your family members that hurt you. You don't say it's your siblings that hurt you and not your family. So when we say people hurt you and not church, what exactly do we mean?
