I think you should definitely read the dialogue. It's crucial to gameplay. Skipping the travel time is fine, but you should definitely show at least the first time going somewhere. I love this game. Can't wait to see more.

Either or is find with me though I do prefer quicker flow of gameplay unless you kind of infuse the dialogue with characteristics like voice acting. Speeding up the travel time is good but you are right it slows things way down. You can lengthen the day and add days to the gameplay.

Thank you so much. Trees regrow every 2-3 years if you leave the stumps, otherwise they're gone for good. It seems to be random for the regrowth too not like "birch grows back fast while maple takes longer"

Oh, and the way I have things setup, (don't know if you've seen my season one setup video) years can last 12-120 in game days and I have my seasons set to 30 days. So my trees will grow back in 240-360 in game days (if I did the math right). I prefer to play with elongated game times BUT it also makes the game MUCH harder.

Well, I have the basic game because I didn't see the value in the soundtrack (I don't like music in my game when I can help it), and I certainly didn't need a physical guide to a game that has had MAJOR updates frequently. So I personally don't find the value in it but I do on occasion do the supporters bundles but it is rare. I prefer DLC that adds SOMETHING to the game, and this is not that. I obviously leave the final decision up to you but that's my two cents.

No, Raft was made by Redbeet and this was made by Render Cube. They came out in that "everyone has an idea for a survival game" decade where every game felt reskinned. The building is similar to Stranded Deep, The Forest, The Infected, Mist Survival, and a bunch of others. Good question though. I hadn't actively thought about it before now.

@MarcoSimple1Videos it isn't possible to build near another city. You're supposed to basically build your own. You can't stay in any NPC houses that you don't build. The game recently had a multiplayer update, at least in the experimental branch, but it's still tied to the story I think so not really sandbox. But you don't have to play the story at all. Ask anything else you want. I'll reply when I can.

Gameplay is almost 100% the same it's just that you're limited by the console limitations so you won't be able to have quite as many buildings as I do but otherwise, everything translates. Is this a good game…? Just started and these quests have me running 700m to pick up a shovel, run it back, run back another 700m because someone wants to tell me something. Next quest, check a caravan that’s 1300m away! I want to like this…

It IS a good game and your first few quests are poorly designed to run you all over the map and introduce you to what's going on. Once you get into the "just past early game" you can relax and focus on you and only what you want to do. Follow Dynasty quests to unlock everything that is locked behind a quest and by the time you get to a quest to "have and heir" it slows down to be as little or as much as you'd like.

@@ctrlaltsilent it’s my problem not theirs,,, it’s a war on the ears … I enjoy the game playing as it helps to decide if it’s for you or not,, majority of gamers that post on here are loud and it sad to say loose a lot on the game as they tend to talk about themselves and just fast play…. i dont want to watch a video when it comes to a game like this, i would rather the content creator focus on immersion and be the character. If your going to go with this style, i would recommend having a bit more enthusiasm in your voice, idk like maybe act like you actually want to make the video. I was not retained and these are the reasons why.

You really shouldn't be derogatory about people, ideas, or things you don't agree with on a Let's Play. It's different if you're an opinion piece channel but this isn't the place for it. People are watching this kind of content to unwind, if you want more subscribers keep your opinions about people and their feelings or ideas to yourself. "Environmentalist nutjob" is a pretty polarizing thing to say and you will lose out on a lot of subs referring to your viewers in such a derogatory way, because the more subs you have, the more viewers you have, the more likely you are to be making a comment about the person watching your video. If you ever are fortunate enough to end up with 100k+ or 1M+ subscribers, a comment like that will chop off chunks of your viewer base, because no one watches stuff like this to feel vaguely attacked.

@@ctrlaltsilent I am a starcraft player that dabbled with uploading a couple videos almost a decade ago... but I'm also a biologist, and an environmentalist. Most people do not realize most of our oxygen doesn't come from trees, it actually comes from diatoms, which are microscopic unicellular algae in the oceans. If our oceans warm too much too quickly, diatoms will die off and if their populations decrease too much too quickly, the oceans and our atmosphere will gradually become anoxic - meaning, lacking in oxygen. This would both cause toxic anaerobic algae blooms which would kill most fish, and it would become very expensive and challenging for the average person just to have breathable air. You would have to have O2 concentrators and live in a hermetically sealed structure. If you take a moment to Google the rate of ocean warming, it's rather alarming. Suffice for it to say, our survival as a species or at least a civilization could depend heavily on this one organism, among many others. Does this make me a nutjob? Of course, I know it does not, and I don't really care if a youtuber thinks it does, but when I sit down to watch content about a videogame, I don't care to hear about it. Stick to the vidya games, and you've got a sub from me, because I don't take it personally.

Each of those tasks alone take plenty of brainpower, doing them both without either suffering is a major feat. I'm sure your channel will grow if you stick to it, just be careful to remember you're hypothetically addressing unknown thousands or millions of people, and their aggregate intelligence and diversity is always going to be greater than yours.
