I've been to this exact one. I went in exploring it and the old guy scared the crap outta me later known to be the owner. It was phenomenal seeing the depth and structure of the facility. This silo lead me to search KZbin to the finding of your channel. Very incredible

Great video! Similar crib structure remaining as the Lewis site in NY, but absolutely dry!

fantastic to finally see inside a disused silo - when you think its just a deep concrete hole in the ground to house a missile - its incredible to see all the mechanics of the service levels, lifts and everything else - its a real nightmare as to where you would start first - that lift is a worry - i'd chain it up for double safety before attempting to lift off its safety brake, if it became too heavy for lifting equipment y'd lose the lot to the bottom - place definitely needs a tidy up - i'd do it!

Very impressive.

There are preppers that would buy each level and restore it. Most The structure is gone but the outside framework of I beams could be joined by structure winched down with a gantry crane. Put in an elevator and it would be fun af.

This is the farthest one on the west side of Roswell with it's silo doors open? All ways wondered what the inside of that one looked like as I've driving by it lots of times.

It would be awesome to take some video footeage with a drone down the silo, but i'm not sure if it is possible with all the metal around.

I like how the silo is not filled in like death wears bunny slippers is.

That's because it didn't need to be "demilitarized" under treaty, unlike the Titan IIs. These older ones were scrapped and abandoned but were not covered by treaty. That's also why the cableways are not caved in and the entry portals were not dynamited and filled in. All the heavily damaged ones were scrapped AND demilitarized to show the russian satellite flying above.

How is your water situation? The Atlas F sites has three (3) wells with a required replenishment rate of 30 GPM. Are the three or four 90,000 gallon water holding tanks still there?

if you turned each level into an apartment i'm sure people would pay to live there.

The silos look slightly different than they did with an 85 foot long Atlas F ICBM sitting in a crib in that deep open space. Wish I could have taken pictures of the site at Eagle, NE when I was there on a tour courtesy of Lincoln A.F.B.

Well, whatever you're going to do with this "room", you should get the elevator up and running safely. Then scrap the rest and take the money to have a big concrete hole in the ground or only scrap the surplus and restore the core structure to build new floors upon it, it's a tough and costly decision. So, what's the plan for a place, where you can easily hide a skysraper but you haven't got the sky high budget of those who originally build it? Scrap everything, seal the doors, throw some ship wrecks and coral reefs in it and make it a diving training center/spot?
@trevormurphy70414 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't touch that elevator until you get an elevator specialist to look at it and that elevator weighs more than you think that brace in the ceiling might hold it

Nice paradox; an underground silo that used to house a weapon by U.S. Air Force personnel that was so powerful it could wipe out entire cities & millions of people. Now that it is defunct someone took the time & effort to gain access & climb down to a certain level to spray paint "SHITWEED" on one of the walls.

It looked like the elevator has an I beam going across that was put in that its sitting on.
