S1E3 Death Valley pt 3

The third and final episode of Ted and Bud's adventure overland trip in Death Valley National Park in their Toyota 4runner and LandCrusier. In this episode we start with a visit to the Racetrack Playa. The link to the 1st person to actually video the rocks moving is here:

After the visiting the Racetrack Playa they head down Lippincott Pass and into Saline Valley. The next day they pickup a friend, Derk, with a long wheel base Tacoma, and head up toward Steel Pass. Just before Steel Pass they take a short walk to the Marble Bathtub. For more information on the Marble Bathtub click here:

After going over Steel Pass and cross a wide valley they enter the decent into Dedeckera Canyon and 4x4 down the famous steps. The end of Dedeckera Canyon opens out to a spectacular view of the Eureka Sand Dunes. The trip ends up with the last night's camp in the Alabama Hills with views of Mt. Whitney and the High Sierra under the stars.

That was Awesome driving by the guy in the long bed toyota. I have the same size tacoma . I'll need more experience before I try something that tight

Awesome. I’m a Vegas local, and have never done these trails. I’m a little scared to run them by myself, and not many of my circle have rigs. Nice video

Yes you are so close to DV it’s a shame not to run these trails. I recommend looking for a club in your area that goes on outings together. You will find folks that overland/off-road are great company!

I can’t remember specifically what tires he has but they certainly were not the stock street tires. He might have BF Goodrich all-terrain.

@@adventurebeyond60 I have a longbed Offroad too with no lift and stock tires still and I've been looking for video of one taking this canyon. You provided a lot of information for planning this trip. Thanks. Great videos! And I'm definitely packing some Ibuprofen. Looking forward to more of your videos.

Glad it's helped you out. There will be more videos. Next long trip will be towards the end of July. Just finished to long weekend trips here in Southern California but not sure there is enough content for a decent video post. Hope you DV trip is a blast!
