I was glad to see that Caitlyn didn't completely drink the Kool-Aid Ambessa was feeding her to the point where it would take mountainous effort to break her out of it. The further Ambessa got pushed, the more Caitlyn saw that she's not the good guy here. And in the next teaser we literally hear Caitlyn admit to Vi that she got played and fell for Ambessa's emotional manipulation, but they balanced that with not fully vindicating her. I was shocked to find myself flipping entirely and rooting for Jinx and Sevika. And not only that, but for Jinx to be the one who makes the push to get Vi out of her drunken stupor and bring them together again as a family, to actually GENUINELY be more mature than her older sister, setting their feud aside to help Vander even when Vi made it difficult. And none of it felt out of place! None of it felt rushed or un-earned! Arcane is a total masterpiece, hands down the best animated series of all time (and before any like Last Airbender fans jump at the bit, that show had some bad episodes, did Arcane?)

Imo it’s unfair to compare them because the length of episodes is different. If the episode count is higher, ofc there will be some duds. Which impressive since there really is only one that had no real need in the overall story - *looking at you great divide* I think it is more something like “ATLA walked so Arcane could run” type thing. Because I remember when Avatar first came out that a lot of people that watched were surprised how intense and serious a “kid’s show” could get, but still having its balance of humor, when most of them were “goofy, wacky comedies” around that time, ones that were mainstream. E: I love both shows, but Arcane came to fruition by lots of other shows and movies laying the foundation so animation as a medium is taken more seriously in the general societal perception. Also, meaning it would profitable if say a production studio (ie Netflix) dropped 250$ million to make this. They had to be DAMN sure it basically be an overnight sensation.

@ I agree. It is unfair. Arcane’s budget and available software is vastly greater than Avatar’s. But that’s life I’m afraid. Money can pay for quality. Arcane’s visuals blow Avatar out of the water. That’s just like not even arguable. We don’t even need to get into things like story and character, because obviously they’re pretty comparable in terms of conceptual quality generally, no one’s gonna argue that. But whatever the reason for dud episodes, they’re still dud episodes. There are currently 15 episodes of Arcane. Not one of them is a dud. If you take a slice of Avatar equal to the runtime of Arcane, you could not find a concecutive slice of Avatar that equally matches Arcane on writing quality in terms of what both are going for. That’s a limitation of the medium probably but reality nonetheless. Like yeah, obviously it’s unfair. But that doesn’t mean it’s not better.

They won't be like before, not after what they've gone through. But with how much they've been on each other's mind they'll find a way to be together again. That's half of what a relationship is. One half is love, affection and enjoying all the positives. The other half is discovering, misunderstanding and finally working through each other's negatives. It's when you combine the two that you get the glue that will keep two people together. You can't have a lasting, healthy relationship with someone without knowing if you will still love them after they fail and disappoint you. In season 1 it was up to Cait to believe in Vi despite being met head on with her anger, abrasiveness, mistrust etc. This time it's Vi's turn to see if she can find that love for Caitlyn despite now knowing just how fallible and flawed she is. With what we know about Vi... I think we can all make a pretty safe bet on what she'll decide.

They probably will, they reunited and don’t seem completely friendly with each other but they’re good they need time though. If you look at s1 the things it contains are, violence, language, and smoking. Well s2 has the same things but one thing added to it.. and we haven’t seen any scene yet… Vi and Cait might.. yk…. ISTG they better tho bc like Jayce and Mel get a scene then Vi and Cait better get one. Also wtf happened to Maddie- like literally we saw Cait and Maddie together for like 1 episode then Maddie disappeared uh is Vi gonna figure out they had a little thing going.. and that Cait and Maddie also uh yk. They'll get back together. Maddie was a hookup. Her feelings for Cait are a lot stronger than Cait's feelings for Maddie. If you watch the scene with them again, you can see how Cait really isn't all that into Maddie being all over her. She doesn't reciprocate, and sometimes even outright withdraws from Maddie's touches. It's like they have a loose friends with benefits situation going on, but nothing beyond that. Vi means far more to Caitlyn than Maddie.

And with only three episodes left, with Maddie and Jinx in the way, i dont really think they will come back together ! ​@@grisanette7482 The teaser of the final arc shows Vi and Caitlyn arguing about Ambessa's manipulations and Caitlyn admitting that she was played. About the "Meddie situation", I have two theories: 1) If Meddie really is what she seems to be, this optimistic nice girl, I believe that, when face that she was just a hook up for Caitlyn, Meddie will just "step aside" and let them be happy together 2) if Meddie isn't what she seems (there are some theories that says that she is a Black Rose spy using Caitlyn to reach Ambessa) then she will reveal herself and be defeated (or she'll just run away) Also, in this reunion, their interaction reminded me of the beginning, when used these silly insults, which could be interpreted as a "new start".

Powerful connections like this don't get lost to time, not if the feeling is mutual. Them immediately going back to cooperating upon reuniting is perfectly in character for both of them when it comes to each other.

She clearly still cared about her and saw she needed help and was already doubting Ambessa from the very start of Act 2. They reached a truce to help Vander but i think Act 3 will delve more into why Caitlyn turned her back so quicky.

Both this scene and the one in which Jinx infiltrates the prison were surprisingly cheap for Arcane’s standard. Ambessa acting like a standard movie villain, letting the “good character” talk her way out of her bad situation. Jinx having her blue hair out of the helmet and not a single enforcer ( they literally spent weeks pursuings blue haired rebels ) notices it, even when Jinx raises a middle finger with a smile in front of one of them. I know that at some point “the plot must go on”, but meh.

Ambessa did notice jinx from her blue hair, also there are normal people with blue hair literally one of the main characters caitlyn has blue hair, also the scene before this with the guard shows that no one probably thinks jinx would just walk in on purpose into a literal prison. Also no one there knows jinx doesn’t have a middle finger, and i dont think people in the world of arcane having prosthetic fingers or limbs is a new thing and the smiley face on the finger, its just a smiley face lol its not like she drew her signature sign on it.
