The therapist joke is messed up in a way considering that episodes prior that he said he didn't trust therapists and then decided to seek a therapy when realized that not all therapists are bad and that he has some issues he needs to talk about... for then it being used against him for a game
@thestormwizard64473 күн бұрын
I don’t like the therapy episode. Jake never had a problem with Therapists before Season 6, it was a random character trait they added for that episode, same with him not wanting kids in Case-cation. Season 6 was a mess, it has all my least favourite episodes.

i mean. that is the point. she's an actress, these are scripted scenes. are they weird? absolutely but that doesn't mean chelsea peretti is a bad person. she's playing a character in a fictional, over-exaggerated sitcom.

The fake therapist joke always irked me because of the way Jake struggled to trust therapists and the fact that his wife and one of his best friends used it against him for the sake of a game. The trust that took him years to build up to, then getting held at gunpoint by another therapist, then finding out his new one is fake. AND THEN THAT THEY INSULTED HIM FOR BEING UPSET THAT HIS THERAPIST IS A HIRED ACTOR.
