Thank you James, as usual a really excellent Video, looking forward to the Development you have outlined in this Film. It’s been sometime since I’ve been able to catch up as I lost my dear Wife in August ‘22. Thank you for sharing. Best wishes.

Hi James - Wow when I think how you first started and expanded your plans and what you could build to the set up you now have, oh my goodness what a journey. Apologies for not using your vacuum cleaner on my layout but everything is on hold till the money situation eases which will be a little while yet. Regards Chris

Hi James, I would ecommend usng waisted bearings when assembling suspension parts, it doesn't completely negate having to enlarge the hole in the aclebox. it depends upon the desired/intended travel of the suspension.

The axle guards incident made me chuckle. Im glad its not just me that does that sort of thing! What a plonker! Looking forward to some more content from the new space. Your setup looks very impressive.

Thank you Darren, Yes I have been busy - hopefully the new space will enable me to produce some more interesting content for the channel. It's nice to be able to get all my gear together into one space too. Thanks for watching, James

Amazing what you can do with a single car garage space, though I suspect all those hard surfaces are creating a few sound issues for the video, i will be fascinated to see the etching stuff, as for my own project I'm going to need to learn how to do that, the joys of picking a railway with nothing available from any manufacturer

Hi David, I'm looking forward to getting all the gear up and running. There's still quite a lot more to squeeze-in and I hoping it will prove to be quite a productive little set-up once the kinks are ironed out. You'll have to let me know if there is anything you'd like etched. Best wishes, James

Great work space, I'm really jealous. Thanks for sending my latest order for point actuators so quickly, I will be ordering quite a few more as I get more track layer and funds allow. They work brilliantly. Pete Townsend.

Thank you Pete, I'm pleased you are getting on well with the actuators. I quite enjoy putting them together, so it's nice to hear when folks are finding them useful. All the best, James

James, I'm really pleased to see you again, I was beginning to be concerned for your welfare, at the long quiescence. The size of the laser machine is staggering. Very best of wishes, Mike Warren.

Hello Michael, I hope you are well. It's funny because last week I thought I hadn't heard from you for a while and wondered if all was well. Yes, the machine is quite large which is handy because I can get a 4x2 baseboard onto it which I am sure will prove useful. Take care, James

Hi James, That laser cutter looks beefy, Will be interesting to see what you can produce with that. I really should have a go at designing some laser cut stuff, I much prefer to do things like that on a computer than using a scalpel and many many cuts with plasticard lol. I remember many many moons ago trying to build some sprung axles when I had a little go at P4, Watching you trying to solder those bearings brings back memories of how fiddly a job it was lol. Wow you have a lot of equipment in that new studio, It would be interesting to see how much easier kits would go together if they were designed using a computer to be more precise. Oh and thanks for the little extra in my recent order :) I shall be putting that to good use soon. Cheers, Michael

Hi Michael, Those sprung bearings really are a faff, although I've had an idea as to how I might simplify the design a little moving forward. It's going to be great to be able to etch stuff as required. Do have a go at designing some stuff for laser cutting. I can always process it for you - once the tube is fixed! :) All the best, James

Excellent. Good to hear from you again, James. I'd merely assumed that life had got in the way, and I think you'd mentioned that you might not be able to get videos out as often as some people might like. Looks like you've got yourself a good space there - presumably it was a garage? I noticed that the camera at times wasn't sure what to focus on, probably the result of the nice straight lines along the walls getting its attention. But it didn't bother me that much. You're not making things for broadcast on HD TV channels (well, not yet...), and it's what you're doing & how you're doing it that's more important for me. Though I did wonder a bit about whether it was warm enough in there (and conversely what about ventilation in summer?). Please don't make a silent video - most of what you do is not familiar to me, so it's useful to hear you explanatory commentary.

2:55 best hiding place ;) just in front of the nose ~16:00 Rome ne fu[t] pas faite toute en un jour ;) that quote counts for ~21:00, too. I didn´t notice any exhaust air unit, if not hidden somewhere better add. 22:00-23:00 alot of plans to become 👍

Indeed, Rome wasn't built in a day. The extraction unit is mounted in the loft space above the machine. The grey pipe behind the machine in the corner is the extract pipe. I wanted to maximise the space and reduce the noise of the extractor, hence moving it out of the way. Thanks for watching, James
