It looks like you do the flat binding like when you join leftover quilted fabric to soft and stable. Is that a correct picture?

Hey I was wondering where you got your stabilizer board? What is is made of? What would you recommend to use for a stabilizer board?

Instead of making 3 rows stichting for the binding, can I use a serger?

Test it on a scrap creating the same seam/binding and technique and do not use the knives that would cut off fabric. Assuming you will be using three needles? I would think you would be adding more volume with the looping, but maybe not. Let us know how your test strip piece works, here or in the FB group By Annie Bag Makers.
