For those asking about remaking Search for Smudger, I've considered it but it's quite complicated with aspects like voice actors no longer being active. I feel like I would have to recast some people too and that itself brings a whole moral dilemma. I have thought about doing it in Wooden Railway like Haunted Henry but I would need to do a large rewrite because I feel like the original story was wayyyyy too complicated.

I read a story made by Edger Allen Poe, it was called the Black Cat. it wasn't that scary, but one of the most spine chilling parts of that story is when everyone is gathered at a wall where it appeared that there was a silhouette of a cat with a noose around it's neck on a wall. That part wasn't that scary, but it was unsettling. I mean if you saw that on your wall one day, why wouldn't you be unsettled.

That was so good! The original was definitely one of your best stories, but it's nice to see a remastered version. I always liked how Duncan acted all tough for most of the episode, then got scared of his own made-up story! I also remember how this episode led into The Search for Smudger - good that you kept that foreshadowing at the end!

To be honest, I don't think Duncan is that good of an actor to be able to fake something like that. I think it's more likely that he either hallucinated as was stated in the episode, or he really did see a pair of eyes in the mist. To whom those eyes might have belonged, I can't say for sure...

I prefer the original versions of the remastered episodes, I know u cringe at ur older videos but I prefer them over the remasters. But that’s just my opinion. The main oreason I like the original version of this episode is because of Bertram’s voice.

The main purpose of these remakes are just to align them more with later events and take out some cringey immature jokes that dont fit the tone. That’s why I’m not doing all of them.

11:10 that reason was because he’s Bertram and was found by workmen from the Mid Sodor, the day after he fell and the day before the Skarloey workmen searched, and rebuilt and given to the quarry on the Mid Sodor.

Yup that’s why it was all explained in The Search For Smudger, the Skarloey Railway workmen searched and found Bertram but left the driver and fireman’s bodies because they didn’t want to deal with bringing them back, without anyone knowing, so when the Mid Sodor Railway workmen searched the next day, their was nothing but the bodies.

I would love to see stories on Neil, Stuart, Falcon and Duke. (Also it is actually possible to write both Smudger and Stanly into the Mid Sodor Railway lore. Smudger came in 1898, turned into a generator in 1902 and disappeared in 1926-27. Stanly could have been Smudger's replacement around 1902. He didn't get turned into a pump until 1928. )

I think that Duncan freaking out after seeing the eyes of the of the demon engine he told the story about and it turning out to be a fear induced hallucination due to the story he told is exactly what would happen if anybody was scared out of their minds like the scene in the Disney movie snow white and the seven dwarfs when the huntsman told snow white that the evil Queen is out to get her for being more beautiful than she is when the huntsman told snow white to run away into the forest the reason snow white saw all those scary faces in the trees is because of fear induced hallucinations

I hope you make more TEOS and NWR Origins episodes in the future, even though Wrath on the Rails was such a great movie to end on. Ah, this brings back memories! Grant it the original one was far scarier, but this one had a nice humorous touch to it! In fact, the post-credits scene had me burst into laughter. Although it seemed to be some of the TRAINZ models used were out of scale with each other. You probably could've just used the SI3D ones. While out of date, it would've made everything more consistent. That's just me though.

The SI3D engines have trouble in Trainz 2019 where their eyes don’t change direction, hence why Duncan was looking forward throughout the whole video. And the Rusty SI3D model only had one face when I installed it so I had to go with CogRaiway 3Ds model. So far no 2019 Duncan model has been made so I had to go with SI3D for him and Duke.
