S2000 Mis Fire - Valves or Injectors ?

This S2000 came in with a mic fire and check engine light.
It's had 2 dealers perform a valve adjustment and it seems they were set too tight.
We also find the Injectors needed cleaning. It took some time and work but the injectors are now flowing like new.
Fingers crossed this fixed the issue.

My AP2 had a mis fire. Checked/adjusted the valves and then it’s running great!! The valves were wayyyyyy too tight!

I'm not sure if I already asked this years ago but with the valve lash, technically won't you get ever so slightly more valve lift and duration by setting it on the tight end of spec vs being too loose? For some reason on both my AP1's and my Element's K24, the intake valves always end up being too loose, and the exhaust valves end up being too tight.

The difference is insignificant and the side effects are burnt valves and seats. Always run on the loose side, these motors are never silent. If this was a higher HP I’d usually add another thousand to the lash.

Looking to do a valve adjustment on my 1999 jdm s2k, I was wondering how often you replace the spark plug tube seals? I’ve never opened up the valve cover so I don’t know what to expect yet. Also have you gotten any jdm models and seen any different problems or are they mostly the same?

Whenever you remove the valve cover, replace the full gasket set. The gasket, tube seals and the grommets. The engine is basically the same as the the 00-03 US engine.

Do you change out oil sprayers frequently? I have a 02 and orded a set with four holes.

Hmmm. I have an ‘01 and my OBD port is on the passenger side too. Is that not normal for a 2001?

I think 2000 and early 2001 have them in the pass side.

Unfortunately, the only way to fix valve guides is to remove heads.
