The passenger side axle is typically the one that DOESN'T go bad. You can buy a used passenger side one, harvest the cup and bearing and put it in your bad driver side one, because that's usually the one that goes bad.

I regreased a friend's AP1 & my AP2 You can notice NVH was lower (if you are on stock exhaust) 40k mi in 2yrs on my 2005, so far

I bought a replacement shaft for my AP1 but never put it in because the replacement had some play in the bearings too. I’d love if you made some bearings to refresh an AP1 shaft so I don’t need to purchase another one!

That would be great but I just don’t see it ever happening. It was such a low production, Honda made that shaft very much proprietorial like a one of a kind. You’re welcome to send it in. I may be able to do some magic and make it good again.
