Another great presentation...I spent a number of years involved in remote construction site work in Alaska and occasionally we had issues with local community members...that said, we worked hard at being good neighbors and it paid off without fail...your group did an outstanding job dealing with the challenges that were provided to you...keep up the good work!

Thanks! It definitely can be frustrating, but I honestly was pretty happy when I saw that wild berry trail mix still in there. I was looking forward to it the whole trip so all was not lost. 😂

I had a similar experience to you second bull. The guy that flew me in said I looked like Elmer Fudd when I was running and gunning. You look a little like Elmer Fudd as well. Great video Isaac.

I think I would have canceled the moose hunt and went thief hunting. With the snow you could have possibly tracked them down. Thieves are the worst. People come up missing in Alaska all the time.

Yeah! We had the tires sent there which turned out to be a bad idea because the weather was not good and we got stuck. Apparently they typically get very high winds and freezing fog 🤷🏼♂️

Lots of moose in that area 4 sure and they are doing a job on the trees. Soon be nothing for them to eat if they aren't thinned out a bit imo! Too bad with the planes, did ya find who done it? No use for that stuff! Anyway, congrats on the hunt, looks like you got a piece of meat for the pot! Right now I'm cooking moose roast for dinner with few veggies around it like moose camp, can't go wrong with that eh? Take care where/when u play!

It all depends on the area. For most winter moose hunts (resident only) they are any bull.

They turned the guns in under the agreement we would not press charges. So people know who did it but nothing happened to them.

Wow, what a major bummer about the thieves taken your gear. Those people will get their just deserves in the end. Glad you were able to make the most of it. Maybe get a game camera and place near the planes next time, get some photos of the thieves and get them out of the woodwork.

I’m so sorry that happened to you. Damn scumbags would do that to you guys. Slashing the tires is a slimy thing to do. I hope if they don’t get caught, they will get the same done to them one day. I used to hunt bears and moose in northern Ontario Canada where I lived and grew up, now being in a wheelchair I just get to watch wonderful videos like yours. I had uncles who were bush pilots, flying on skis and pontoons, watching your videos brings back so many fantastic memories.

Yeah! Well initially we were hunting for swamp donkey bulls, but once we lost the stuff we shifted our focus to just getting a few moose for the freezer. It was surprising how much less weight they carry in the winter compared to fall.

Expensive lesson but one you have surely learned. Cant leave anything out or unsupervised these days. Small reward offered in that village would get you a name and address easily. Thieves should only be handled one way. You can tell it was a useless POS because they not only took your belongings but damaged the planes.

Actually I just ate some of the meat yesterday. Still surviving off it in Anchorage! You’ll actually find that every native Alaskan uses sleds, quads, snowmachines, etc. in their pursuit of big game as well. It’s a way of life up here.

I’d say too that the other village folk would know who did it. Too small a place for them not to know. The same people probably have done this before. Bit of a bummer for you though man.
