cool vid! I hate over mountains when it's turbulent as well, not very comfy! I can see if weather cooperates with those last sets, contact for sure as animals will follow along shorelines and right into you sets. Man, what spots you have access to is amazing. Those 2 wolves beckon eh? Alaska dreaming now! Take care Issac.

Uncontrollable updrafts, downdrafts are real are real attention getters in a light airplane with minimal power. Takes a lot of flight time in those conditions before it begins to feel slightly tolerable, if ever.
@isaaclandecker9072 жыл бұрын
I’m sure! It definitely is not enjoyable I know that.
@interioralaskaadventures2 жыл бұрын
I could be wrong, but it sure looks like some of the tracks where you caught the wolverine are wolf tracks. Four toes very distinct compared to a barely distinguishable 5 toe track. Nice catch!
@isaaclandecker9072 жыл бұрын
Yeah, actually when I watched the video play back I realized that none of the tracks were from the wolverine because they didn’t go within 5 feet of the trap. So something else was checking it out.
@interioralaskaadventures2 жыл бұрын
@@isaaclandecker907 Do you set for wolves? Although it may be difficult to get a wolf especially if frozen to fit in the plane.
@isaaclandecker9072 жыл бұрын
@@interioralaskaadventures I haven’t set any for wolves. It may not be a bad idea too, but the sign seems to be rather inconsistent.

Just 1 question. What’s your plan if ya single engine stops over them mountains. Just wondering
@isaaclandecker9072 жыл бұрын
In that event I would basically glide to the best landing spot I can locate. It would probably be in the bottom of the valley. Obviously this would be a bad day.

What are your fur prices up there? About how much will the wolverine bring in the round and put up?

Can u over trap the wolverines in a area? Love your videos
@isaaclandecker9072 жыл бұрын
I think it is definitely possible to do that. I would say shutting down traps in areas you get females is probably a good way to manage it.

Question for you. Being a chicken flyer like myself and you having a couple of scary situations during your last trip,will you completely forget them on your next trip?
@isaaclandecker9072 жыл бұрын
I think it is definitely wise to remember the lessons learned but not to let the fear of it deter you from going. In this case, I learned a safe route if I experience unforecasted downdrafts/turbulence in that area.
@tomwright47592 жыл бұрын
Awesome video I just finished groundschool on jber. Did you edit out the downdrafts I'm sure that's scary but I would have like to see what that looked like.
