Remember, Samsung has a dedicated astrophotography mode. Shutter can be open for 4-10 minutes and let the software do the heavy lifting, like pixel.

Great camera comparison dude! Very surprised how much better the camera is on the S23U compared to the S22U. One feature I love is using the s-pen to take pics/videos. It comes in so handy in many scenarios.

Yeah except they’ve been doing that for years and years and it’s not going to suddenly be night and day. It’ll be A LITTLE better with each iteration. That’s not that they’re bad, it’s that camera updates in general are iterative and more contingent with AI processing. Apple has issues with lighting and updates won’t change that…philosophy will. Samsung oversaturates and brightens and smooths too much (in my opinion)…that’s bc they have cultural preference rooted in that and software update won’t change that. Personally I like what the pixel has been doing and optimizing their lens and processing and software lately. I just don’t think Samsung is going to be suddenly leading the pack anywhere other than high zooms

@@ujwal3934 videos are alot easier and better now on the s23. It also depends on what the content creator uses. Most of these KZbinrs uses Apple products so that will be the main reason they feel that way. Android products don't work well with Apple products.

The most saddening fact is that Apple does not improve camera quality with updates, unfortunately. This is what I am observing for couple of years and regards Pro models. The other thing... iOS 16.3 brought image quality decreesment on Telephoto lens. :/ The images are more noisy and less shart than they were on iOS 16.2. :/

I do a lot of street photog and will say the double tap on Samsung phones are the best way to open the camera for that quick fast shot. I carry both 14 pro and S22U and use the S22U for stills, and 14 for video. Stills are usually Raw format.

The mic on the Samsung sounds way too artificial, people saying it sounds better.. no they’ve just cranked up the background noise cancellation and pushed vocals hard. The iPhone captures some background noise, the voice does not sound as digital.. it’s far better for general video, the Samsung almost sounds like a voiceover done in a quiet room.

As a professional designer, I'm glad that Samsung considered giving us (Powerful zooming) what other huge brands like iPhone or google pixel have never thought of. With the highest number of pixels, you might not need camera lenses, you get sharp & quality images which is very important Also, the videos & photos are already color graded. you just take the shots & share (just as they are marketing). If there's need to edit, you will only do simple touch-ups.

Can you try and use active arrows to point where you are talking about specifically? I think I know what you are talking about but it would be helpful. Plus I swear you rushed though this review like it had to be done by a certain time. If you are worried about too long of a video then split the video as part 1 & 2. Making one about pictures and then the other about videos. I do disagree with you on certain shots. I'd be interested if you tried a comparison between not just these two phones but adding the Pixel, the S22 and maybe even the older iPhone.

Thanks for the vidoe! I got i phone 14 pro max 2 months ago and the camera is very very bad!!!! When capturing landscape or during night it is amazing but the major problem is in focusing: when you focus on something close or when there is a crowd of people, the focus messes up and loses its resolution, you get a photo as if you were shooting with an old old phone! Is someone also facing this problem ?

As an iPhone 14 pro max user, they really need to sort out the ultra wide. It’s quality is seriously lacking compared to the main lens, and zoom lens, it’s not good enough. Considering how many changes it’s gone through it’s still an incredibly weak ultra wide lens.

I can´t decide if I should save money and go with iPhone 14+ that is €200 cheaper than S23+, S23+ for being an Android and better to carry/hold than S23U. Or if I should go big with 14 pro or S23U... I´m so lost. My storage is full on my 11 Pro which is why I need an upgrade, 64GB isn´t enough these days.

@Benjamin Jagun unfortunately regular S23's battery is too small while the Ultra is too big and square with curved screen, so had to go with Plus variant. I had regular S20 and S21, nice in hand but battery is just bad, even with more efficient chip it can't fix small battery. The pre-order bonus helps a bit though, got the 512 version with the price of 256 version + year of Samsung Care+.

I am not an iPhone fan by any means I use Samsung (S23+) to be exact. I used to think the camera on S23u was better bc of the obvious 200mp vs 48mp thing but now that I've looked at a lot of pictures in comparison I actually prefer the iPhones camera even though I prefer the Samsung as a phone in general. I just find that the Samsung's camera makes the images appear too yellow for some reason.
