I am one of the biggest Pixel fans. Dad has a Pixel 6, I got my brother a Pixel 3, and I was also going to get a Pixel 6a (sadly got almost 2x price bump the day I decided to buy). But..... Google absolutely FAILED with the Pixel 9 Series. Pixel 9 Pro XL costs 1200$ for the 256GB variant, and still uses UFS 3.1 storage. And still, it has a processor weaker than 8 Gen 2 (from S23), has no equivalent of S-Pen, or Samsung DeX, charging is slower, and whatever sets it apart from Pixel 8 series, or base Pixel 9 are artificially software locked stuff like Video Boost. It even released with Android 14! It is a complete SHAM. For anyone - Pixel 8 Pro is the better buy if you're a Pixel fan. Or get the S24 Ultra. Cheaper, better, similar or more capabilities. For Pixel 10 to succeed now, they NEED to get a good performance bump, plus reduce price by at least 100$ on all models, and still increase base storage to 256GB, and at least try to bring more non-AI, non-subscription based features. The old Pixel magic was in AI which was used to understand usage patterns and enhancing the experience in all places. Now it is GenAI garbage which everyone is doing.

The Pixel 10 series will be the first Pixel series with true processing power. The Pixel 9 series is very overpriced for what it offers. There aren't even any camera hardware upgrades.

I like the Pixel and what it offers overall, but it is very much overpriced for what is has in terms of processing power. Select 50Mp image resolution on any Pixel 9 Pro XL and try and take images rapidly, and it isn't long before the shutter starts to lag and stutter before it starts ignoring the capture button altogether. Try the same thing on a device with flagship processing power and the task is a breeze. The Pixel 10 series will come with true flagship processing power mark my words. This is the Pixel series to wait for.

Gemini, is not exclusive to the Pixel, neither is Magic Eraser, and even Now Play... it's clear that you have chosen your winner (the Pixel 9 Pro XL), the narrative of the video makes it clear, you've spent your time praising the Pixel 9 Pro XL, and subtly avoiding talking about the S24 Ultra's features🤷🏽‍♂️, on the other hand, what I can't understand, is why in the end, you don't assume your choice 🤔 The Pixel 9 Pro XL is a good phone, but at $600-$700 max with 256G of memory, on the other hand, I don't see myself putting or recommending putting $1200 in a smartphone that, apart from the zoom, is no better than an S23 Plus which currently costs $600. And also, Pixels are not fluid, it's just the back to Home gesture that is fluid on Pixels, in applications and especially in vertical scrolling, they are jerky. You can find substitute apps to emulate the features of the Pixel 9 Pro XL and even those of the S24 Ultra, but you will never be able to download a new, more powerful processor for the Pixel 9 Pro XL. 🚶🏽‍♂️🚶🏽‍♂️🚶🏽‍♂️

The Pixel is too handicapped by it's midrange processor and archaic ultra slow storage to seriously challenge anything. I love it's camera system though, as only an idiot would say it was lacking in this area. It is just too overpriced for what it offers technically. The S24 Ultra is an excellent powerful machine, but it's camera system still needs a software update or two to finish it off in key areas. It will always have a shutter speed problem for the indoor photography of moving objects.

Without bias, the S24U is just the overall best phone. The S25U should be coming out early next year (Jan/Feb) so I would hold off if you want a better deal on the S24U.
