the 3x camera is great for portrait pictures. They come out really natural compared to zoomed in pics from main sensor or using the 5x where you need to walk back quite a bit.

​​@@skillosophdepends on the emulator you want to use, I own a pixel 9 pro xl and windows emulators are pretty much out of the question for me. Snapdragon gpu support vulkan framework that is used in windows games, but pixel's mali gpu doesn't. You can still play Nintendo switch games pretty well especially since CPU instructions dont need to be emulated it runs "natively", I got Skyrim running at 30 fps on yuzu and 60 fps on skyline. Performance on pixel is just fine, actually better than i expected

Pixel Camera is way better when it comes to moving objects. Samsung isn't able to fix this for years. The rest is personal preference but the shutter lag is a absolute no-go to me. This is why I love Pixel - no matter what you always get consistent, great shots!

Ex 24 Ultra user. I just hate Samsung's software. Sorry if you're a fan but the Pixel just has classier, slicker software. Samsung's is too much, too many options, too few sensible choices provided to the user out of the box. A mess. But I get that some people enjoy the 'Swiss Army Knife' thing. Biggest issue for me though is the camera. The shutter lag is still there, and I ain't tweaking the settings to try and make this better as they should be making the right decision for me out of the box.

Pixel 9 Pro XL is a good phone (first Pixel design i like) but still a phone from a company which are still not able to give a calendar for every features, outside of USA. ❌Lack of raw power ❌Lack of features by default like 1️⃣Samsung Routines, Samsung DEX, Cloned Apps, Floating Windows➕ Split Screen at the same time 2️⃣ iOS Automation and iOS Shortcuts 3️⃣ UI default features like Nothing UI.

You just swipe down at the bottom and the whole UI drops down. You can set times on the Google alarm to 01:12 or whatever you like. Guess you haven't used it for a while. I don't know what a 'chipboard pin' is but it sounds gimpy. Never once had an advert thrown on at me on Google Photos on either Android or iOS, even when I've been using a Samsung

For starters, currently we can find the S24 Ultra around $1000 and even less. Is the Pixel 9 Pro XL a good smartphone in absolute terms, yes, but at $800-$900 at most and with 256G of memory, not at $1100 with 128G. I compared the Pixel 9 Pro XL to the S23 Plus (which is 2 years old and currently costs, new $600-$700 at most), and honestly, the only thing the Pixel 9 Pro XL does objectively better than the S23 Plus is zoom 🤷🏽‍♂️

Sadly Google is going the Apple-route in quite a lot of aspects this year. Maybe they think that they have enough hardcore fans that will buy the phone for this price anyway (like the Apple hardcore fans). The thing is: 1. Not like Google Apple has great hardware to kinda justify the price (besides the little amounts of ram Apple has a problem of letting go of) and 2. Google hardcore fanbase is waaaaaaaaay smaller than Apple's. Overall Google made some not so great or even dumb decicsions this year.

S24 ultra is a great phone (i have one. Love it.) but for quality of life and ease of use purposes that on their own might not amount to too much but once stacked up are this elite? Theres no way my sim would go into the ultra over my 9 pro XL.

Im going with the Pixel this year, don't get me wrong. I've own Samsung Apple products before, they're both fantastic, but this is the first Google's product launch in my country. Love the clean UI on pixel and the vibration on pixel is something else. And also the accuracy on pixel keybaord is better than the gboard on my samsung, I've no idea why it happens😂. Pricing wise, the pixel is more expensive in my country, right now the S24U is on sale for around 1150USD and the pixel is 100USD more. But their price will be the same if theres no promotion available.

Honestly I'd go with the S24 Plus. Seems to be the better value over the Ultra this time around imho. And aside from the camera, it matches the Ultra just about everywhere that counts. I also prefer the slightly smaller form factor of the Plus with the rounded corners. Wouldn't knock anyone for preferring the Ultra though for those who can utilize the perks of the camera and the S-pen.

Let's see this "secure" experience you get with samsung, samsung keyboard recording everything in the clipboard including screenshots with no way of disabling it and even when using 3rd party keyboards. Everything inside knox(secure folder) should be isolated from the main space as samsung advertises it, right ? wrong , everything you type on your keyboard is remembered and will show on suggestion in the main space, big security leak that doesn't doesn't care about( knox used to have its own dedicated keyboard ) . Samsung pass keeps your passwords in their cloud( samsung got hacked few years ago) , vivo keeps them encrypted locally on the device. And lastly samsung's bootloader being crackable to be able to root it, you can't root a vivo phone, is too secure. So maybe get your head out of the sand and realize there are better and cheaper phones out there, samsung is boring as hell after huawei ban, stopped trying because smart guys like you just buy it anyway. Talk to me after you use x100 ultra for a week, samsung needs another 4 years to get this hardware .

As someone who used the S24 Ultra for six months, I feel the Pixel 9 pro xl is a better phone. From animations, OS optimization, UI design, and, butter smooth perofrmance, it's awesome. It's the little things. S24 ultra finger print would always fail multiple times a day but pixel doesn't. Same scanner but better optimization. The camera is incredible and battery is bananas. My Ultra battery life just sucks now after updates. Also ultra standby sucks now, drains like crazy.

oh PA-lease, the S24U is just flat on the top, and rounded everywhere else - and you not supposed to hold phone this large with the corner stuck into your palm - this isn't a small or medium sized devise and it's been a while since they have been. Also, those other phones have rounded corners, but not entirely, it's a flat bar around the edges with some rounded at the corner from one point of view, but flat for the other. Really, much of the Pixel hype is because its new right now, and right now, it's the phone to hype so you can sell clicks - just like the S24U 6 months ago. 6 months from now, the S25U will be back for everyone cum over. Rinse and repeat. Sure, that's somewhat different than before when they never recommended the Pixel, but like - I don't celebrate Google finally showing up, at least by enough if not actually all the way.

I've had every Samsung and every pixel. No matter what I do Samsung's eventually slows down no matter what million HP cpu it has. Samsung needs to ditch their UI and they would forever own the android market. I don't want to go into the galaxy store just to update the camera app, too much bloatware and the overall user experience is more polished on the pixel. I went from Pixel 3 which I loved to Honor Magic 5 pro. I enjoyed using Honor Magic 5 pro for about 17 months - it was great for low light shots, had one the best screens I've ever used on a phone and good overall camera especially in low light conditions. Having recently tested a pixel 9 XL though I did miss my pixel so think I'm going to upgrade to pixel 9 pro now.

I have a Pixel 7 Pro and enjoy it for it is, I hate Samsung's UI. If i was buying a phone now it would be the Honor Magic6 Pro for the performance all-around and vfm, not another tensor Pixel. Honourary mention to Pixel 9 Pro for being a flagship that isn't tank-sized, I hope for more android phones like that next year!!

It's actually not a head vs heart discussion. It's just the misguided idea that pixel is an underdog and Samsung is the establishment view on things. Samsung has earned its top spot year after year. It's not easy and as evidence by the z fold 6 you can lose you too spot any day now. Pixel just isn't as good yet and that's all there is to it. Is it a great phone? Yeah.. Is it better? Nah.

I got the pixel 9 XL on launch day, ended up returning it yesterfay. Its fine, nothing special. Gemini is great, but by all accounts the S24 Ultra does everything better including photography and especially battery life.

Pixel for me. The real true Android just as an iPhone is for Apple. Samsung has always been secondary for me. Third party using android os. Just my opinion 🤷🏽
