S25 Ultra Is Almost Here!

Used a S22 Ultra for about 3 years, got a pro max 16 last week. It’s not worth the “blue bubble”. I’m returning this phone and holding out for the 25 Ultra.

Especially after seeing how Samsung follows in apple’s footsteps after making fun of the changes apple makes. They made fun of the foreheads on iPhones, bam puts it on the tablet. Talked about how they still had headphone jacks bam took them away after the iphone still sold, apple took away expandable memory, after they still sold, samsung took what away the following year…?

A screen protector may negate your screens anti reflective properties. I would do your homework as to which protector doesn't ruin your anti reflectivity.

I don't even think that you will need a screen protector this time. The glass will be very durable. Huge difference to the S23U (that I own too) I will definitely upgrade. 👍🏼

I feel the same way. I'd rather have a bigger battery for some such other feature than just getting skinny for the sake of getting skinny. If the phones were chunky, I could understand them wanting to go slimmer, but they're pretty slim already. I'm always amazed at how slender my phones are.When I take them out of their cases. But I'm not the audience for some of these things. I don't do gaming on a phone. I would never do graphic design or video editing on a phone so I don't really get the idea of the faster and faster chips, except that the phone is just snappier. I'm all for that.

I don't know why I strayed from the S Series, I got a flip 6 that lasted all of 3 months. Foldable not meeting expectations is an understatement. Currently using S24U, I usually get the base model, but I've constantly had issues with those screens

Base 17s will most likely get pro motion but it’ll still be hard justifying it from a 16 or 16 pro. 16 pro will probably be a better deal than 17 base.

The entire S25 series will powered by 8 Elite globally. The S25 FE may be the exception. I would definitely wait and see what the S25 brings to the table before making your decision.

The Vivo has great photography, but it's video is not so impressive, and the device's software and software optimization are quite mediocre also. Overheating reports are now coming in for the device whilst playing heavy gaming. And throttling too. You should get better performance from 8 Elite.

Hi, the only thing refraining me to go with a Samsung phone is what is called UI. It mixes the app from Google and Samsung which I find mixing me up. If it would be a pure Android version, then I would give it a try. Until then will still use Pixel phones.

I actually like One Ui better than Pixel Material You. Pixel limits what you can do on your home screen. I hate it so much that I use Nova Launcher on my Pixel 9PROXL. I don't like how much space At A Glance takes up or that you can't remove it. I don't like the Google Search bar, which can't be moved or removed. I don't need it on every screen page.

I don't expect any huge, groundbreaking changes. I'm thinking it will probably have a slightly faster chip, slightly better camera, slightly different shape, etc. Even with all this snapdragon talk, in the real world, it'll just be slightly faster than the iphone... until iphone leapfrogs them next year, and so it continues. As usual, if you have the previous model (or even the one before that) there will likely be no compelling reason to upgrade. Same as iphone. Just my prediction.

Ive had all Samsung big phones since the Note 9 (except the S24U) and honestly im tired of dumping over a grand now and have a less reliable phone than the previous one. Hardware has been fine for the most part, but the software and functionality of apps or connectivity goes to shit within a year or less. Makes me think they're doing it on purpose. I'll be jumping over to OnePlus this next go around and see how they stack up. Seems to me Samsung seels enough to where they dont need to gaf what my issues are with thier phones. Hopefully everyone who does get a s25 series phone gets an absolute long haul beast but for me, im breaking away from formation.

Smsungs biggest advantage is their ridiculous trade in value. Its why i still with them. The latest tradedin yielded me a fold 6 for 1080 CDN during launch thru carrier. Last ultra I had was s22U but once i picked up the fold 4 i found a large folding phone is it for me. So imma skip Ultra again. Happy with the footprint of the fold 6 but will hold out for bigger battery hopefully in fold 8. I foresee a need esp if AI is fully integrated by then.
