Thanks Hayden! I watched your most recent video. I really enjoyed it! Living the dream man!! One of my tours was on a patrol boat stationed out of San Juan PR... I mostly patrolled Mona Pass but I went as far West as Tampa and as far East as Barbados and as far south as T&T. I hope to sail those waters one day! Until then, yours is my kind of channel!

Did we just missed you again? Our sailboat S/V Whitecaps was at Shelter Island boatyard from Oct. 28th to Nov 4th for a new bottom paint. And I got Closs Marine to replace all through hull valves and replace the cutlass bearings. Just a matter of before we meet you? Fair winds (what else in San Diego).

Wow! We were a little more than a month apart! I was pulled out on Sept 9th and refloated on Sept 13. Ken Closs and his team were so great to me. I trust your experience was positive as well! When you were on the hard I was anchored in Mission Bay 😎

@@sailingfrogsleap Yes we were very pleased with both the boatyard and Ken's quality work. Good... Mariners Basin @Mission Bay is our favorite anchorage spot in SD.

I attempted to replace my cutlass bearing when I had my Tartan 27. Wound up knocking the entire stern tube loose. Much more drama than I had anticipated, but it all went back together well. Glad you took care of your issue before it got worse.

Good video. I'm a new subscriber. I also have an IP27. I'm on the east coast (NC). I saw that you purchased a Mantus Anchor Bow Roller in one of your videos. I didn't see the video where you installed it. Do you have an update on that? How does it work for you?

Super cool Kyle! I'm so happy when other IP27 owners contact me. There is so much that I love about this boat... Including the fact that a boat like this of this size can't even be bought new anymore. Under the wood, the bowsprit is solid glass so I just used stainless steel lag bolts through the wood and into the glass... I've anchored twice with this new setup, once in San Simeon with Patrick on the foredeck, and most recently I did my first single-handed anchorage in Mission Bay. She drops from the cockpit without coaxing but, when weighing anchor, I do have to go forward when she's at the bow roller to verify that she is oriented properly before bringing her home.
