Using side cutters to grip (not cut) the cotter pin works better than needle nose pliers.

The ends of the axle stubs have worn down. A common problem. The wear allows the axles to move toward the center. When they move to the center the restraining clip on the axles may fall out. New axles are needed to fix the problem. Unfortunately new axles made of Chineseum are not hardened enough and may quickly wear down. Do some research before buying new axles or if you buy a rebuilt rear differential ask about the axles used in the rebuild.

They made c-2 till 67 in 6& was the first year of the c-3

Was it hard getting that bolt that broke in half on the rear drivers side center spring mount out of the case? Any ideas on how to prevent that from happening? Liked your video. Thanks for doing it.

just a heads up, the c2 was 63 to 67 but was built on the same chassis as the c3 (68-82) with the same suspension components.
