I'm an Ohio transplant in TN. I've been vacationing here since I was a kid, and when I retired, I moved here and built a home just outside the Knoxville area. Tiffany isn't a fluke, she exemplifies what Tennessee is all about. Tennessee folks are some of the friendliest, most welcoming people you will ever meet. I don't feel like I moved here, I feel like this is where I should have been all along.

Who in their right mind think that was the Rebel flag....and what if it was??? 👍🏻✝️ My gosh that sandwich looks just SO good 👍🏻👍🏻
@ian57802 жыл бұрын
If it was that flag they would only be sane for flying it. Lincoln got rid of states rights to oppose the federal government. Before 1860s the state told the fed how they were going to run their state. Afterward it's the other way around, even for the yankee states. Whoops. If someone is ignorant enough to think tn flag is confederate flag (Georgia would be understandable up until early 2000s) they don't even deserve a response.

People are so ignorant. This is a prime example on the flag as to why it’s so important to teach American History
@sst65559 ай бұрын
yes; just teach the history correctly to include all the pain and suffering of the black people, and the discrimination that continued into the 1970's, separate bathrooms, drinking fountains, housing, restaurants, stores, separate even in military and at NACA (NASA) faciilities in the south. The state flag is fine, I was taught my history up North in tiny little farm town, (with no black people). in the 1960's, and non of the history books included any of the dark side of Jim Crow south after Civil War, or ongoing discrimiation in the south. I was shocked as a 17 year old when in 1970, I worked at a big gas station and a white semi truck driver from Tenn, and his black co-driver (helper) came up to me with the head bow and quietly asked me where he could find the "colored" restroom. That was my first experience with what was still going on in the South. I did some fact finding reading after that.
