S3 #18 DIY boatwork batteries to the bow thruster

We have bought batteries to the bow thruster and will start the installation. The outside hull is washed and we will prepare the antifouling-application.

Why not mount the batteri to batteri charger in the aftcabbin, is it not better to have at Long cabel whit 24v than whit 12v. I belive that the resistente in the cabel is lower at 24v.

Bjarke Palm I had the same idea, but I was recommended to have it so close to the batteries as possible. The reason should be the lost in voltage between charger and batteries to the thruster. There will still be a lost in voltage in the 12v cable, but the charger will compensate for that.
