Very uplifting discussion! Many gems as takeaways--"Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. I know that simple truth to be true." And “The moment you turn around, here He is.”

So many reminders in this discussion....Jesus saves, not me, keep trusting, keep hoping, stay true and continue in faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ IS mighty to save! Thank you!

Well done, thank you! I’m so grateful that I know Jesus Christ is with me in all of life’s challenges! He & Heavenly Father have individual plans for me & all of my loved ones (wandering or not). And thankfully those plans include however long & hard the road is… It’s so reassuring to me that Jesus is MY Savior & it is not my obligation to save anyone - that is HIS work & HIS glory! All I can do is to continue to ask God to help me to love others (doing all the good that He enables me to do) & stay at the Tree of Life, feasting on its joyous fruit! 😋😇‼️

These are things I know, but forget, or become discouraged by my pitiful efforts and don’t intentionally remember. THANK YOU ALL

Great discussion! When we follow the counsel of the Lord through His anointed leaders, we can feel peace even while our children are wandering off the path. Joy amidst sorrow, like you said. We have a son who is very much not partaking of the gospel. It's so hard to watch, but I have "seen" him in the future, grasping onto the Lord. I love that Jenet said when our children don't want to hear the Word, we can BE what the Lord would be for them. And Byron said for us to do that, we have to nourish the word within ourselves. LOVE THIS

This was such a great discussion. I'm especially touched by the teachings thatChrist is waiting for us to return to him or just turn and he will help us return. The idea that he is waiting with open arms. This is so.ething I wish I had heard years ago. I'm so glad for the emphasis of a loving God who wants us to return and is helping us.

Agency is a hard principle to respect when love is involved. But it's also Christ-like love that allows us to allow those we love, to make unrighteous decisions or decisions that we know will cause them pain. And then again, it's that same love that allows those that we love, to come back into the light. Our Father always leaves the latch unlocked in hopes that we will come home. What a great example for us to do the same.

Thank you so much for this discussion. My husband and I married late and cannot have biological children. We are in the process of adopting children out of foster care. We don't know who the kids will be or what issues/challenges they will carry. The message of Christ alone will save, and our job is just to show them the path to Him, is my takeaway.

Sound quality for Jenet was very poor. I've heard her on other podcasts and really enjoyed her but her voice kept trailing off here. Feel like I missed so much. Not sure if she was turning away from her mic or talking so inaudible. Really enjoy all your podcasts. Thank you.

I am so sorry that she was often hard to hear, because she is so good. We tested her mic many times, and for some reason with her voice if she turns away from it just a bit, looking from one person to the other, it would not pick her up as well as it would if either Byran or I looked from side to side. We will try to make it easier in the future.
