My only reservation with these when compared to Dakota lithium is that these have 400-800 life cycle charges compared to 2000+ from Dakota and a 12 month warranty compared to an 11 year warranty. I love how these are sealed and even lighter and compact but the warranty and life cycle charges compared to the competition seem to not be so great.

Build your own bat pack 200 AH or more for the price of 1 of these and use quality cells that can give you 4000 to 6000 cycles. With same or more features on the BMS including Bluetooth to monitor each cell.The prices for these bats are outrageous. The tutorials are straight forward. plenty tutorials here in KZbin.

So I just got into Kayak fishing and I love it so much I barely take out my big fishing boat. I ordered the Oldtown 120 I pilot Kayak and the company called me and said it wont be delivered in time for my Florida fishing trip. I already had the big 133 Ascend with a big 80 thrust Ulterra trolling motor that gives me everything the Old town I pilot has except I have double the power but I found myself not wanting to take it to Florida because the Trolling motor is 24 v! So the Trolling motor is about 40 lbs, the Kayak is 100 and then I had to carry two lead acid batteries 56 lbs each. I decided to research lighter batteries and I went with one LiFepo4 24v battery that weighs 46 lbs. Man Im so excited I just dropped more than half of battery weight and I dont have to wire in series when I get there.

One more thing, are there alot of 12V 100 a/h batteries that are waterproof? These FVPs are more expensive than even the best battery like Batteborn but even that battery isn't watterproof and weighs more than the FPVs combined. I will be purchasing those for my Autopilot 120 when it arrives and hopefully get them on sale.

What about a AGM sure they are heavy but they're not $500 a piece..You can get a group 27 Bass Pro shop brand AGM for $200 and so far I was 8 hours on the water and I used less than half the battery I was on a river constant current.. So that's an alternative instead of spending $1,000 after you spend $4,000 for a kayak
@dugjad1514 жыл бұрын
@Paul T I know what he said relax I'm not trying to beat anybody up here I'm just saying the AGM battery is a good alternative versus a lead acid and a lithium AGM batteries are also sealed You need to calm down dude take one of your pills and calm down please
@jasonhayes27784 жыл бұрын
@@dugjad151 AGM you'll only be able to use 50% of the battery before they start to get damaged. The more you use them below 50%, you reduce the life cycle of the battery. Also, AGM batteries, the lower the state of charge, the less power you'll get out of them vs lithium, it's either all on or off, no power lose. Obviously on the flip side of AGM, you could purchase 7 batteries for the price of the 2 lithiums so running them below 50% and getting a couple of years out of a AGM is a plus. Most lithium batteries, once you max out the life cycle, it's not a dead battery, you just get a max rate of 80% charge for example vs the 100%.
@MDLRFishing4 жыл бұрын
@ douglas adams, that's certainly a route one could take.
@NotMe-st8qc3 жыл бұрын
@@jasonhayes2778 most higher quality AGM deep cycle batteries can be discharged to 80% with negligible difference in overall life. Do the research. I have. I am an electronics engineer.
@jasonhayes27783 жыл бұрын
@@NotMe-st8qc I have researched and though your comment maybe true to an extent, that certainly is NOT best practice for AGM batteries. I’ve never seen any white-papers that would suggest or support that as a normal use case practice. I’m not an electronics engineer but an IT guy and who’s invested in RVs. I currently own two LifeLine AGM batteries that would be considered “high end”. Let me run these batteries down to 80% regularly, which is abusing the batteries and I’ll been replacing them sooner than later. Also, the power lose while kayaking will be great and you might as well be paddling back to shore.
