S3 EP3 NATHAN RAMSEY

This week on the whiskey throttle show, Nathan Ramsey joins Dave along with good friend Buddy "Budman" Antunez. Nathan is a former 125 supercross champion, a 450 supercross winner and he sits second on the all-time 125 supercross win list behind James Stewart. This one is a lot of fun!

Nate Dog...never surprised me when he won. He was a monster on a bike. Yet such a nice/mellow guy off the bike it was easy to forgot how GOOD he really was. I'm just so happy to be able to send a shout out to Nate here and say what a great memory it was watching you race and happy you are happy and healthy.

Loved watching this episode. The last time I saw Nate Dog was 20 years ago when he was lapping me at Frozen Ocean. I was always impressed by his raw speed and how chill he was with the fans.

I have been looking forward to this one. My first super cross I went to live in seventh grade was Pontiac 2002. What a crazy night. R.C. Became almost invincible that night and I became a Nathen Ramsey fan too.

For sure greatness. Part of it was being about 12 or 13 and driving almost 4 hours down from Gaylord and seeing all the stars I’ve only ever seen on T.V. But you are right I’ve been to a few at Ford Field and it’s just not the same atmosphere

Sx 125 class is what is needed. Pings idea with nates f1 idea could really work. I really like the idea of the 250 4strokes mixed with the 250 2 strokes.

250 2 strokes are 2 fast for lites class. Up the limit 2 300cc 2 stroke in 450, They could compete and would make it cheaper for privateers and smaller teams.

Maybe they could do something like make a rule where you can’t gain a position during a blue flag moment. If a guy doesn’t have to worry about being past then maybe he would be more inclined to move out of the way? Then once the leader has gone by their race for 10th can resume?

I like Nate but the moto spy idea isn’t good, you want pro riders to ride 2 strokes when most manufacturers don’t even make them. Just have the 250 class open and no pointing out. The 125 class makes way more sense the having top pros switching from 4 to 2 stroke. Riders wouldn’t be for that idea. Stop trying to push riders out so young. You can still perform at the top in your 30s if you’re mind into it. I mean Brady still in the nfl at 44
