Loved the talk of him riding local tracks. We met him at 221 last year. He's my boys favorite rider and took a picture with him. Later, we returned to ask for Cooper to sign my boys number plate. I felt like a bother, but Cooper was so cool about it. I liked him before, but the way he treated my boy, I am a fan for sure now. That number plate is hanging up at the house. Awesome podcast!

Just a racer. Not an ambassador, which the sport does not have. We need to be more precise in what we say, or we won't know what anybody is talking about. Can we stop bringing all the terms about royalty or dictatorships into our lives so we don't accept them in one generation? :)

Grew up on the same local tracks as Cooper, hes a few years younger than me, remember hearing about him burning kids on 65s/85s, he's just got that gritty east carolina attitude, have always loved it, always wondered why he gets so much hate. Love people in the comments here saying they saw a new perspective on the guy, he's a beast.

I haven’t been a Cooper Webb fan for years. I remember when he started winning on KTM and being like “woah.” But it’s easy to forget that, now that he’s won 2 championships and been there so much. I forget how much I used to root for the guy to just DO GOOD. Same situation with AP in away. He kind of has a Dunge feel to me in a way now. But after listening to this it reminds me of the time when he was just the underdog kid from Star who lost his chance and got a call from Roger when he got hurt and no one else believed.

This was such a sick podcast. Im a huge Kenny fan, was big on Dunge before. I haven't been too bothered whether Eli or Coop wins this year, it's very cool seeing Eli break records but didn't know Coops past. I always wondered why he seems to operate at his peak when he's seen as the underdog. Now I'm a fan, would love to see Coop go get it!

I think you know where I am going with this, I mean amazing Jase! Incredible episode, that allowed us to get a true representation of who Copper Webb is and made me a an even bigger fan. And thank you for riding at the level you are this season, because my 8 year old son is a die hard Roczen fan and my guy is Webb so it makes the banter between us very fun at the moment even tho I had to respect his win this year lol. Fully agree on him talking about how much the sport is growing. I’ve been telling people the last 3-4 years it’s bigger now than it has ever been. People love to complain about the rules, or bike changes, or this or that and just harp on how it isn’t like it used to be. Go to a Supercross, go to an outdoor national or Loretta’s, it takes 35 years to get parked because they are jam packed with both riders, and fans. Heck even a local race has more riders turn out to race than I’ve ever seen. The sport has grown more over the last 5 or 6 years than ever.

I'm about the same age as Cooper and AC, and I remember seeing the sweet stuff AC had. And because of that I was always more on the side of Cooper because I remember pulling into Ponca right behind him in his box truck. And I was like, he's just as good or better than AC at the time, and here he is in a box truck and AC has a sweet rig and bikes and AC gets a pro contract with PC since he was 7 if I'm not mistaken. And somehow Cooper barely even gets a pro ride. I'm kinda surprised PC didn't drop AC, but I suppose that's Mitch not wanting to accept the fact that he backed the wrong horse. But Cooper is right, without AC, without seeing how he got almost nothing while AC got everything, without that, we wouldn't have the Cooper we have today.
@EarthSurferUSA

But it is competition and the best get the rides, period. All he had to do was beat him. He earned his ride and championships. He beat him. :) Look, when I was a kid reading MXA and starting to race in the David Bailey era, I did not have any parental support, and his Dad was the Professor of Motocross. I did not think ti was fair. I was wrong. We are suppose to share knowledge to the next generation, and my Dad did not ride. But back to this point, don't worry if somebody else in real competition gets the goodies quickly. If he does not keep it up, that is everybody else's opportunity.

Raced until i was 18 traveling around NC with my mother an father. Had so much fun. But i also always surfed. At the age of 17 i got sponsored surfing. Started taking it serious. Was able to travel the east coast for free. Went out west a one times. But anyway racing faded out because of surfing. I wasnt no where near professional status. Def amateur level. But was still very fun. Thats crazy his father owns Action surfboards. I never stopprd watching supercross. Every race i watched even during the transition from racing to surfing. Just got a bike a year ago. Im 38 now an back on a seat. KX 450 an im enjoying it like i was that 12 yr old kid begging my father for a race bike. Lol all joking aside Coop is a dawg on the track and the dude is so hyper competitive he will gladly throw caution to the wind for a chance to win.... plus his defense and his race IQ is off the charts! @@TCON42499 I'm just sayin, it wasn't like the comment came out of nowhere... there was some context to it. I think it is a great episode, I am not really a fan of Coop, been watching him for a long time, watched him on 80s at the Travis Pastrana invitational in Puerto Rico Circa 2008ish, don't particularly care for his attitude on the podium sometimes, but I have mad respect for him, and I UNDERSTAND his attitude at the races at the end of the day he is there for a job and that is to win. I was a Reed fan back in the day as well and even though I liked Reed I didn't really care for his podium speeches. I think Coop could benefit from presenting himself with a little bit of humility, but this sport does take a certain amount of Ego and Arrogance to be the best. Great listen, and it actually gained some points for Coop.

If webb wins the title, y'all will say he's better than all the greats combined 😂. You guy's already claim his mentally tougher than anyone. I'm not understanding putting this guy with the best ever, it makes no sense whatsoever. Now you say he's had it harder than anyone, wtf

I Webb wins the title, it will be his third. That is quite an accomplishment. He's not the best, but (potentially) 3 years he was.
